About this property
Apartment in Marche S
Summary:
Apartment Giacomino is a delightful, spacious one bedroom apartment in Marche. It can comfortably sleep up to four people. Its barrel and cross vaulted ceilings give it plenty of character and the property is beautifully furnished throughout with a clever mix of both antique and contemporary pieces.
The Space:
This apartment in Marche is one of a few properties within what was originally a 15th century palace. Back then, the property was built as a home for the parish priest of the church of San Michele Arcangelo however it was then bought by a local noble family - the Gigliucci - who carried out extensive renovation works. At the beginning of the 17th century, the palace was extended again to reflect the growing needs of the Vinci Gigliucci family. Further works were then carried out in the mid 19th century by architect Giovan Battista Carducci. These days, the palace remains one of the most significant palaces in the Marche region and has been beautifully converted into a series of unique and beautiful apartments including Apartment Giacomino.
This particular Le Marche apartment boasts an open plan living, dining and bedroom space as well as a separate kitchen and separate bedroom and bathroom. Because of the layout, the property arguably works better for a family than for two couples.
The Neighborhood:
This apartment in Marche is situated in the hilltop town of Fermo, the capital of the province of the same name. Thanks to its elevated position, the town enjoys fantastic views over the surrounding countryside. Fermo itself is steeped in history and is home to a number of significant Roman remains. It is an extremely attractive town and a great base to discover the best that the region has to offer. At the same time, is off the main tourist trail and so allows holidaymakers to enjoy an extremely authentic stay in Italy.
Please note that there is parking on site but this is an additional charge of 15 euros per car per night.
