Butler's Barn - Two Bedroom House, Sleeps 4
This beautiful barn conversion offers an ideal retreat for those looking to explore scenic walking trails, cycling routes, and the renowned horse racing at Newmarket. Just 9 miles away, Newmarket, the ‘Home of Horseracing,’ invites you to visit attractions like the National Horseracing Museum, The National Stud, and its two famous racecourses. A similar distance away, discover the handsome town of Bury St Edmunds, often called the ‘Jewel in Suffolk’s Crown,’ celebrated for its beautiful architecture, magnificent cathedral and Abbey gardens. It is also known as being a foodie capital with an impressive array of delicious restaurants to try. Cambridge is just 19 miles away, offering the chance to explore charming, cobbled streets, admire the renowned universities, or enjoy a relaxing punt along the river. Closer to home, you can discover scenic footpaths and cycling routes that wind through picturesque local villages, dotted with chocolate box cottages and excellent pubs.
On entry into this lovely barn, there is a handy boot room for coats and wellies before being welcomed into an open-plan living space. This naturally light-filled room with bright, cheerful fixtures and colour-pop furnishings is the focal point of the barn. The lounge area offers a smart TV with access to Sky television, as well as comfy seating, inviting you to enjoy a movie night or an evening filled with board games. For all your mealtime needs, there’s a modern kitchen which is well equipped for your self-catering stay and a dining table at the centre of the room. Also on the ground floor, is a handy utility room with a washing machine, tumble dryer and a WC. Upstairs on the first floor, the first of the bedrooms, a king-size, is presented with ample storage space and the added luxury of another smart TV. The second bedroom is a twin room and is just as inviting, with soft mattresses and fresh linens. To complete this floor, a bathroom features a large walk-in shower, WC and basin.
A little pocket of the Suffolk countryside is yours to enjoy as you step out into the garden.
