About this property
Ysgubor Isaf - Two Bedroom House, Sleeps 3
Perfect for outdoor-loving couples and small families, this delightful, ‘upside down’ barn conversion for three people is surrounded by breathtaking countryside and sits just 11.5 miles from the vibrant town of Narberth. Discover Narberth's quirky shops and galleries, and dine out in welcoming restaurants and local pubs. Enjoy walks in the pristine countryside surrounding the property and the nearby Preseli Hills. The closest beaches are Poppit Sands, 16.4 miles to the north, and Wiseman’s Bridge 17.5 miles to the south. For walkers, the stunning 182 miles of the famous Pembrokeshire Coast Path can be found to the north, west and south of the cottage, all within easy reach. Other nearby attractions include Oakwood Theme Park, Folly Farm Adventure Park, and the National Botanic Garden of Wales, all within 25 miles.
From the gravel driveway, you approach this hidden Welsh gem and discover a lovely barn conversion surrounded by greenery that retains all of its original character and charm. Entering the cottage, you find the double and single bedroom on the ground floor, perfect for a couple or three people. The bedrooms are served by the well-appointed family shower room. Heading up the wooden staircase to the first floor, you uncover a delightful open-plan living space that makes the most of the property’s reverse-level design with stunning views out over the valley below. Adorned with traditional wooden flooring, exposed beams, and whitewashed stone walls, the living space combines the lounge, kitchen and diner, offering an impressive social heart to the home. Unwind on the window-side sofa after days of countryside walking, and flick on the TV for some easy entertainment. Leave the front door open on warm days to let the fresh air flow in, or fire up the crackling wood burner on chillier evenings. When stomachs rumble, find that the farmhouse-style kitchen space boasts everything needed to cook up a feast, which can be enjoyed at the cute, scenic dining table beside the wood burner with lovely views out over the garden.
Outside, make full use of the scenic wooden balcony which offers far-reaching views over the Preseli Hills. Use the outdoor furniture and BBQ to dine alfresco, or simply enjoy quiet morning coffees to the sound of birdsong. Set on a peaceful complex with two other cottages on-site, guests can enjoy the benefit of a shared heated swimming pool which includes access to a sauna and hot tub. There is private parking for two cars, with countryside walks directly from your cottage door.
