About this property
The Annex - Libanus - One Bedroom House, Sleeps 2
From an enviable spot within the Brecon Beacons National Park, this charming, dog-friendly retreat offers a peaceful escape for solo travellers and couples who adore the great outdoors. It’s within the scenic Welsh village of Libanus, with an abundance of scenic walking and cycling trails right on your doorstep. An award-winning pub 1 mile away is wonderful for nights when you don’t fancy cooking, while the nearby Brecon Beacons Visitor Centre (1 mile) is fabulous for getting local tips and a pausing for a coffee break before you take to the hills. Spend an afternoon exploring the market town of Brecon (4 miles) for its historic landmarks and cathedral or head to Llangorse Lake (10.5 miles) for water sports fun. For a cultural trip, visit the National Show Caves Centre (19 miles), Big Pit National Coal Museum or Blaenavon Iron Works (both 25 miles).
This restful retreat is accessed through its own private entrance, where a small covered porch leads you up a few steps and straight into the heart of the home – a spacious and well-equipped kitchen/diner. A pleasant decor, featuring neutral colours and plenty of wood, make you feel relaxed and welcome. You'll find everything you need to whip up delicious meals along with a dining table comfortably seating four. From the kitchen, head into the bright and airy lounge/bedroom combo, which is thoughtfully arranged with a reclining sofa and a wall-mounted Smart TV – great for film nights after long days out exploring. The comfy double bed has reading lamps on either side so you can relax with a book before sleep. A spacious shower room with WC completes the accommodation.
From the lounge area, patio doors open onto a charming enclosed terrace with outdoor seating – ideal for breakfasts and leisurely coffees soaking in stunning views of Pen-y-Fan. There is private parking for one car.
