About this property
Holly Cottage - Scethrog
A delightful 1960s cottage sitting in an elevated position in the pretty hamlet of Scethrog. This property is the perfect accommodation for families or groups of friends in search of a relaxing place to call home while they discover the beautiful Brecon Beacons together. Nature lovers will adore exploring the hidden trails around Llangorse Lake (7 miles) by foot or by bike. You can also try your hand at kayaking, canoeing or sailing. Alternatively, head to the bustling market town of Brecon (5 miles), to discover its quaint cobbled streets, impressive Georgian architecture and boutique shops. Explore Brecon Castle and discover the Brecon Museum, and afterwards, enjoy a bite to eat at one of the many cafes and restaurants.
Shake off your boots and coats in the covered porch area before entering the welcoming hallway. Access the first door to the left and you’ll be greeted by a rustic-style lounge which features oak furniture. Take a moment to soak up the garden views before you head to the traditional kitchen to whip up your favourite dishes. Share a sociable dinner at the wooden table in the dining room – an inviting space finished with wooden panelling and offering garden views. Afterwards, make your way up the bespoke staircase and you’ll find a snug where you can stretch out and catch up on your favourite TV shows. When it’s time for bed, there are three inviting bedrooms to choose from. The first is a large king-size suite with dual aspect windows and an en-suite shower room with a double walk-in shower; the second is a pretty twin that offers lovely garden views; and the third is a double room with a front aspect. Completing the layout is a stylish family bathroom with a shower over the bath.
Take advantage of the outdoor seating area, which is surrounded by mature gardens and offers breath-taking views of the mountains and countryside. There is also storage space for your bikes and ample off-road parking.
