About this property
Mr McCormicks - Two Bedroom House, Sleeps 4
Offering light and sympathetically updated accommodation for up to four guests, this airy, bright and welcoming holiday cottage is a fantastic hideaway for nature lovers, cyclists and walkers experiencing the breath taking scenery of North Yorkshire. The property lies just a mile from the picturesque village of Crakehall, which has a welcoming pub and a large central green. The thriving market town of Bedale (2.5 miles) has a long history, with a choice of great restaurants, pubs, cafes, antique and craft shops, and is home to the popular Big Sheep and Little Cow Farm. The Georgian town of Richmond sits along the River Swale to the north (10.5 miles), with Nidderdale, the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors all within 15 miles. The local area hosts a wide choice of attractions including the Forbidden Corner, Middleham Castle, Jervaulx Abbey, and Constable Burton Hall and Gardens, all within 8 miles.
Entering this fresh and airy property, the entrance hall leads through into the pretty U-shaped open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The colourful lounge is an ideal space to unwind in, with a Smart TV, comfortable seating, a lovely wood burner and light streaming in from the wall-length windows. To the side is a sociable central dining area, leading round to a stylishly organised and fully equipped kitchen. The ground floor also has a separate WC. Heading upstairs you will find two light and cheery bedrooms, each with a TV and en-suite facilities. The cosy king-size room has its own shower room, and the bright and relaxing twin has a refreshing, beautifully tiled bathroom.
Heading outside, the front courtyard features a table and chairs, and looks out towards the neighbouring properties. From the lounge, arched French doors lead out to the rear patio, a private space with garden furniture, perfect for dining alfresco on a summer afternoon. There’s also allocated parking available for two cars.
