About this property
Stylish seaside getaway, sleeps 6 in Whitstable
Bluebell Cottage is situated in Whitstable’s conservation area, close to the beach, harbour and the town’s many wonderful shops, cafés and restaurants. The house has three bedrooms, one bathroom and a downstairs loo, all over two floors.
It has been lovingly restored and is well-equipped for families, with two cosy living areas (one for telly-watching, the other for reading and games) and a well-stocked kitchen that leads out to the sunny garden.
We're dog-friendly - furry friends welcome.
Some notes:
This is a new listing, but we are Airbnb Superhosts and are proud to say one of our homes was named one of Time Out's top 8 places to stay in Whitstable in 2022.
On parties and noise: the house is situated on a residential street with houses either side and the neighbours are very sensitive to noise. If you’re planning to have a party, please don't do this at the house. There are plenty of brilliant pubs and restaurants a very short walk away.
The Space:
Ground floor:
There is a cosy front sitting room with a large sofa, comfy armchairs and a TV with all the channels and viewing apps (Netflix, iPlayer) you’ll need.
The second reception room has a sofa and comfy chairs, along with books and guides to the local area so you can plan your visit. You’ll also find board games, a record turntable and some kids’ toys if you’re traveling with little ones.
The kitchen has been fully stocked for those who love to cook, providing everything you need to enjoy entertaining in the large, light space. There is a toaster, a washing machine, a fridge with freezer compartment and cutlery for the kids if you need it. There is a fan oven, a gas range and a microwave. The wooden dining table comfortably sits six plus the kids.
There is WiFi, central heating and, for younger guests, a high chair and books and games for when you've had enough of the beach.
The ground floor loo sits between the kitchen and second reception room and includes a wash basin and WC.
First floor:
The large front bedroom is bright and airy, with a king size bed, a large chest of drawers, a cupboard, two bedside cabinets and a lounge chair.
Bedroom two features a double bed, a rattan chest of drawers, two bedside cabinets and an in built cupboard with shelves.
The bathroom features a bathtub with handheld shower, wash basin, WC and an excellent rainforest shower for washing away the sand from a day at the seaside.
The third bedroom with two single beds overlooks the garden. We’ve designed this room with both children and adults in mind, with rattan headboards, a tall chest of drawers, bedside table and some children’s books about the seaside for bedtime.
Other things to note
One other thing:
Dogs are welcome! We do ask that you please keep them off the furniture and ensure they don’t defecate in the garden. The beach is a very short walk away and offers unrestricted access to dogs year-round.
