The property is within the grounds of the Orange Elephant Ice Cream Parlour and guests have free access to parts of the family attraction, including the Summer Meadow and outdoor children’s play area. Sleeping eight guests across four beautifully styled bedrooms, it’s the perfect base for families and friends looking to explore Devon’s idyllic countryside and sandy beaches. Just 2.5 miles away is Haldon Forest Park, where you can enjoy mile upon mile of waymarked walking trails and exhilarating mountain bike tracks. For shopping and eating out, head into the cathedral city of Exeter (6 miles) where a wonderful array of independent boutiques, cafes, and restaurants awaits. It won’t take long to reach the coast and traditional seaside resorts such as Dawlish Warren, Exmouth, and Sidmouth (all within 20 miles). Whilst here, join the South West Coast Path for a clifftop hike with a view or hunt for fossils along the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. There are some great family attractions in the immediate area, including Crealy Theme Park (7 miles) and Powderham Castle (5 miles).
The converted former grain store has a fabulous blend of original features, including exposed beams and brickwork, alongside contemporary styling. The holiday home has a spacious, open-plan layout, with high ceilings and far-reaching views across open countryside. At the heart of the home is a gorgeous lounge/kitchen/diner where you can prepare hearty meals for the group and relax in the cosy lounge area for movie nights around the Smart TV. The sleek kitchen area has everything needed for a self-catering break, and you can share mealtimes together at the breakfast bar or at the large, wooden dining table. Rounding off the ground floor is a tranquil king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room. A statement staircase set under a striking chandelier leads to the first floor. Here, you’ll find a further three chic bedrooms, all with simple styling to create a relaxing sanctuary for a good night’s sleep. Choose from a king-size with an en-suite shower room, a second king-size, or a twin bedroom. A beautiful family bathroom completes the accommodation.
Outside, enjoy your countryside surroundings in the enclosed courtyard, which is equipped with furniture for al fresco dining in summer months. There is also a lockable shed for you to store bikes, surfboards, luggage etc. Private parking for three cars is available on site.
