Town: A historic riverside town located on the confluence of the River Severn and Avon, retaining medieval character with an abundance of half timbered Tudor buildings. Tewkesbury is renowned as having one of the best medieval Black and White townscapes in the country, boasting over 350 listed buildings of historic interest set in a conservation area. The town has a stunning 12th century abbey with the highest Norman tower in England, several museums, a Heritage Centre as well as a plethora of individual shops, tea rooms, restaurants, pubs and wine bars.
