The Sanctuary consists of a kitchen with gas hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, and kettle, a dining room with dining seating, and a sitting room with Smart TV and electric fire. The bedrooms consist of a double and a double with en-suite. There is a bathroom with bath, shower over, and basin and WC. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels are included in the rent. Outside, there is an enclosed front decking with furniture and off-road parking for two cars. One well behaved pet welcome. Sorry, no smoking at this property. The village was mentioned in the Domesday Book, 1086, as being in the hundred of "Land of Count Alan" and retains parts of its history with its handful of quaint churches. Visitors can enjoy playing a game of putty at Catterick Golf Limited and stretching their legs on the village's vast playing fields. Hipswell is served by multiple amenities, including: schools, supermarkets, convenience stores and eateries, meaning visitors won't have to travel far for the things they need during their stay. The village also boasts ample access to the Yorkshire Dales National Park, being in Swaledale itself, with the 268 miles-long Pennine Way trail to walk, the glorious limestone formation of Malham Cove to explore and the striking ruins of Bolton Priory to marvel at. Hipswell is less than two miles south of Richmond, history fans will be especially pleased with this, as the town is home to The Green Howards Museum, Easby Abbey and the Richmondshire Museum; Richmond is additionally home to The Station, a superb spot for evening entertainment, comprising of a cinema, gallery and restaurant.
