The Space:
Arncliffe View has been furnished with exceptional style and design, you could spend all day admiring the interiors of this property. Upon entering the cottage you are hit with a real sense of ‘home’.
The ground floor is made up of a living room, dining room and kitchen.
LIVING ROOM
The living room is home to a luxurious, corner sofa, two leather armchairs and a large flat screen TV. The beautiful tiled fireplace is a comforting feature and the double doors open out onto the well-kept garden.
DINING ROOM
The dining room comfortably seats 8 people around the large rectangular dining table. The room features vivid blue fabric dining chairs, mixed wood sideboards, a tallboy unit and a cast iron log burner. The large window hatch looks through into the kitchen allowing you to cook, dine and socialise in one space.
KITCHEN
The fully equipped kitchen has everything you could need for a short break or longer getaway. The kitchen is fitted with high spec appliances, handmade shelving units and large square, natural stone coloured floor tile. With slate grey units, a marble style worktop and high shine ripple textured wall tile, this space has a modern and stylish feel.
The ground floor benefits from underfloor heating.
BEDROOM AND BATHROOM
On the first floor you will find three bedrooms. The first bedroom features a superking, dark wood platform bed, metal barrel side tables, freestanding clothes rail and original fireplace. With plush grey carpets and crisp white linen this bedroom is the epitome of luxury.
The second bedroom features deep grey walls, a wooden, rolled top kingsize bed and large feature drawers unit with gold accent. This room features a large walk-in wardrobe.
The third bedroom is home to a set of fabric covered bunk beds and is perfect for the younger members of the group. The floral print wallpaper and single glass flower pendant light gives a real country cottage feel.
The family bathroom sits alongside the three bedrooms on the first floor. The bathroom features a large freestanding bath, a walk in shower, WC and large basin. The rich dark walls and white wood panelling wouldn’t be far from an Elle Décor magazine.
Follow the narrow staircase to the second floor where you will find the master bedroom and en-suite. This kingsize bedroom has a pale sand and olive colour palette with accents of brass and gold. The bathroom has an exceptional use of space and features a large free standing bath, walk in shower, sink and vanity mirror and WC.
The wall lights and overhead beams add character to this calm and peaceful space.
Across the hall from the master en-suite you will find a secret snug filled with floor cushions and a flat screen TV, the perfect space for the teens to enjoy.
GARDEN
The garden, to the rear of the property features a large set of outdoor furniture, perfect for those long summer evenings of al fresco dining.

Head to Egton Bridge, Arncliffe Woods or the river where you can head over small stepping stones to the wooded island. If you’re looking to eat out or enjoy a quiet drink, there are two public houses in Egton - the Wheatsheaf and the Horseshoe.
Egton is located just six miles from the seaside town of Whitby on the North Yorkshire coast. Popular for its Blue Flag West Cliff beach and promenade, the whole family can enjoy a day on the golden sands. Head to Pier Road, you’ll find fun arcades and plenty of fish restaurants where you can sample the catch of the day.
The other side of Whitby is full of narrow, medieval streets dotted with boutiques and pubs. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’.
Getting Around:
Northern Rail operates a train from Egton to Whitby 5 times a day. Tickets cost £3 - £7 and the journey takes 22 min. Alternatively, Arriva North East operates a bus from Egton Bridge, Egton Manor to Whitby, St Hildas Terrace 3 times a day, and the journey takes 40 min.
By car the journey from Egton to Whitby takes approximately 12 minutes along the A171.
Whitby train station is in the centre of Whitby so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail.
