Beautiful lakefront with plenty of outdoor living space and a well laid out traditional lake cottage is what Lightfoote Lagoon is all about! Lakeside comfort and charm greets you inside the cottage. Enter the dining area and immediately feel at ease. Open dining room/living room and kitchen is brightened by the natural light through the windows that span the entire front of the cottage. The living room features a gas stove for heat and ambiance, comfortable furniture, a flat screen TV and views of the lake. Off the living room are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed. The other a twin bed. And off one of the downstairs bedrooms is the stackable washer/dryer combination. Off the far end of the dining room you will enter another bedroom with a queen bed and all the amenities. Up one step off that bedroom is the front sunroom. A flight of stairs in that bedroom leads up another queen bed with a bathroom. The stairs to that room are steep and narrow be advised. Views of the lake can be seen from every window. At the lake, your time is spent outdoors, so enjoy the pavilion for picnics and BBQ's; place the deck chairs around the fire pit and watch the stars come out at night; lounge in the sun on the natural beach; take the paddleboat out for a leisurely ride; fish off the dock;We also have two kayaks for you to use. enjoy your morning coffee on the deck; or go swimming in the lake! Outside of all the stairs( which we knew of in advance) the property was great. Outside space was absolutely perfect ( we spent all day and night using that space.
We had a great time. The layout of the house is alittle odd but def. Workable. The gas stove gave us some problems but the owner was very helpful. The outside pavilion is set up beautiful. Anybody going will definitely find a place to relax.
We were able to relax with our family. The house has a nice cabin feel and the beach front is large. We enjoyed the covered pavilion for a cookout with friends who stopped by.
Tina stayed in touch. We had some bad weather and she checked in on us to be sure all was well.
We would love to come back!
We have stayed at Tina,s cottage for the last 7 years. It has been perfect for us our kids and grandkids.Plenty of room both outside and in. Even when the weather is less than perfect we enjoy the outside pavilion to watch the water play cards or watch television. We will be back again next year and everyone is already looking forward to it 😀
The house and property allowed me to have my entire family to be with me for our family vacation. The outside pavilion was so comfortable to play with my grandkids and allow us to spend quality time with everyone. The views from the house which is right next to the lake was spectacular. Coffee on the dock each morning was priceless. We are looking forward to see about future stays at this house!
The pictures in the listing and descriptions are accurate. The house is older but very clean and everything was well maintained. Appliances and beds were all in great shape: The showers had good water pressure just obviously smaller based on the age of the house. The outside area is the main star of this property. We used the grill for most of our meals and it was in great shape and worked well. Plus we noticed two extra propane tanks on hand. The lake was clear and clean with very little traffic on it. The kayaks were in great condition and were a great experience. Owner was responsive and helpful with any questions. Would stay at this home again.
Older lake property well maintained and stocked with everything we needed for three couples. Dock to fish and kayak from, galley kitchen and great outside entertainment area with fire pit, tv and lots of comfortable seating. Heaters for chilly nights.
We had such a relaxing time by the fire pit and the outdoor covered patio with a very nice TV. Tina was an excellent host and responded quickly if we had a question. Wonderful lake views. Definitely would do it again.
Charming, well appointed lakeside cottage. Stayed with another couple. Worked very well for us and Tina was extremely helpful. Totally recommend! Thank you!
If you are looking for a comfortable, quirky, laid back cottage then this is the one for you!
Lightfoote Lagoon is clean and well stocked. If you forgot something odds are you will be able to find it in this cottage. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need (I suggest bringing paper plates, who wants to load the dishwasher on vacation?) and linens are provided. There are flatscreen tvs in both living rooms, almost all the bedrooms, and the pavilion so remember to bring your streaming services passwords.
As for lake fun this cottage has it all - super clear water with no seaweed, a large beach, 2 kayaks, a paddle boat, a fabulous large dock with seating, and oh, the pavilion. It is exactly as described and where you will spend the majority of your time. Hands down it was our favorite spot. The fire pit was lovely, just remember to bring your own firewood.
With four comfy bedrooms and three pull-out couches, everyone has their space. Three bathrooms are a plus and the washer/dryer really comes in handy.
Tina was a fantastic host, quickly answering any questions we had.
We enjoyed our stay so much we already booked a week for next summer!
Our family has been renting this cottage for the last 4 years. It has everything we need. Whatever the weather we can enjoy the beautiful views of the hills and water.Looking forward to next year. Thank You Tina
My family and friends got together for a weekend and this place was so amazing. Everything exceeded expectations from location, to cleanliness, to space, to beauty! It was so wonderful and Tina was a fantastic host with great communication. I can’t even explain how perfect the weekend was. We’ll definitely be back!!! Thanks, Tina!
This house was great for my husband, friends and I. We had everything we needed and more! The guys were all over 6ft so only downside is the the shorter doors but would do it over and over again.
My family rented this lake house for a week long getaway. The house is fully furnished with many amenities Only thing we needed to take was drinks and food. The spacious outdoor pavilion is where most of our time was spent. Having the lake right in front of you and hearing the splashing of the waves was so relaxing. Driveway was tricky at first, but we quickly worked around that. The owner Tina is absolutely amazing. She ensured we were fully informed if the ins and outs of the house and even provided us a courtesy call to make sure all was suitable. Thank you again Tina !!!
We have rented this cottage for the last 3 years and it has always been a wonderful vacation for our kids and grandkids. We are looking forward to renting again this year.Thank You Tina

Hi, we're the Lightfoote's! We own a dairy farm in Stanley, N.Y. about 20 minutes from our cottage. We have three children A boy and two girls. We have owned our lake house since 1997 it is where our children have grown up and still is our favorite vacation spot. We hope our renters enjoy this beautiful spot as much as we do!
Why they chose this property
We love this property due to the quiet lake with minimal boat traffic. It is in a convenient location near Penn Yan, N.Y. It is a quick drive into town as well as local wineries and breweries. Our property has a large dock, 200 feet of lake frontage and a covered pavilion for great outdoor living in all weather conditions! We grew up in the finger lakes and having a peaceful spot of our own is a dream come true.
What makes this property unique
Large lake frontage, no seaweed, clear waters, large seating area on the dock as well as porch and covered pavilion.
