About this property
Hugo - One Bedroom House, Sleeps 2
Escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life at the stunning wooden pod in East Cowton, the ultimate romantic retreat, perfect for couples keen to spend quality time with their family pets. The sleepy village of East Cowton is just 7 miles from the market town of Northallerton which is home to a bustling town centre lined with a wonderful array of independent shops, cafes and pubs, and a fabulous bi-weekly market. Known as 'The Gateway to the Dales', nearby Richmond is 10.5 miles away and boasts an 11th-century castle surrounded by postcard-perfect scenery. The scenic borders of Wensleydale and Swaledale await to be explored on foot or two wheels. Keen outdoor adventurers can uncover the heart of rural Yorkshire in the North York Moors National Park (25 miles) with its unspoilt beauty offering miles of scenic tracks and trails to explore.
Beneath the characterful wooden exterior, you’ll find a haven of homely charm in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining/sleeping layout encompassing this sophisticated pod. Country cottage-style décor will capture your imagination, beckoning you to rustle up something delicious with your new local flavours in the well-equipped kitchen. The enchanting wood cladding immerses you in the peaceful, rolling countryside scenery surrounding you, setting a truly peaceful ambience perfect for unwinding at the end of a day’s adventure. The quaint dining set is perfectly placed for enjoying your wonderful countryside vistas. Wash off a long day on the local trails in the contemporary shower room before retiring to the soothing double bed nestled in a quiet spot at the back of the pod.
Soak up your fresh, countryside air by dining alfresco on the patio in the peaceful, enclosed garden that boasts a delightful lawn, perfect for four-legged friends to run around.
