Redlands is a luxurious, classically elegant & spacious self catering home in Kington, Herefordshire at the base of Kington Golf Course, the highest in England, only moments from the border to Wales & almost directly on the Offas Dyke Path.
It has 4 large bedrooms plus a snug with sofa bed & can sleep up to 9. With an immaculate and secure garden, the house is dog friendly & boasts its own private leisure facilities including an impressive, full size, all year round, indoor heated swimming pool & sauna.
The space
Perfectly situated at the base of the UK's highest 18 hole golf course, right on the famous Offas Dyke trail and only moments from the border to Wales, Redlands is a paradise for explorers, walkers and golfers!
The property is vast, light, bright and airy but also cosy, warm and serene. The ground floor comprises of a large entrance hall with WC and storage for all the coats the British weather requires! The hall leads into the main lounge with large windows overlooking the front lawn, this room is very comfortable and relaxing and the ideal place to wind down after a busy day in Herefordshire.
Off the lounge is the grand dining room, which lends itself perfectly for great group feasts!
Across the inner hallway from the dining room is the pristine, fully equipped, family kitchen with an electric Range Cooker, this room has gorgeous views of the garden and out towards Bradnor Hill.
From the kitchen is a vast utility room with washing machine, tumble drier, fridge freezer, sink and various storage. From the utility room you can access the large garage perfect for storing golf bag trolleys and muddy boots! You can also access the garden and side entrance.
Heading back into the inner hallway and you will find a delightful sun room and patio doors into the immaculate garden. The sun room also leads you to the leisure facilities, a WC, large heated pool room, separate male and female changing rooms with showers and the sauna.
From the main staircase in the entrance hall, the upstairs of the property consists of 4 large, bright bedrooms. The master bedroom has a Super King zip and link bed (so this can become 2 single beds), built in storage and an ensuite shower room.
There are then 2 further double bedrooms and one twin room, and a lovely family bathroom with shower over the bath.
Also upstairs is a spacious snug area/office with a small double sofa bed with a separate staircase leading down into the utility room.
The outside of the property includes a gated parking area that would fit up to 4 vehicles, front lawn, side access to the house via the utility room, and large immaculate, secure and dog friendly rear garden with patio and views towards Bradnor Hill.
Guest access
The property is accessed through private electric gates and is just off a B road.
You are only a 10 minute, very pleasant walk, from the centre of Kington Town and a brisk uphill walk to the Golf Course (we would advise driving this route if you are carrying golf club trolleys as it is steep and narrow in places!)
The driveway of the property, and secured by the electric gates, is large enough to park up to 4 vehicles.
Other things to note
The property is situated next to, and shares access with, the entrance to a builders merchants car park therefore vehicle movement and walking in the vicinity in and out of the property gates must be done with the upmost care.
The shallow end of the pool is approx 1.1m and the deep end is approx 1.6m. The pool is heated to approx 28 degrees all year round.
There are steps for access in and out of the pool in the shallow end. Those with less mobility may have difficulty with these steps - if you have concerns about this, please contact us to discuss further.
