About this property
Rose Cottage - Reedham
Guests at this beautiful cottage have the best of both worlds, the coast and the countryside. The holiday home is in the pretty village of Reedham, a conservation hamlet with two friendly pubs, a shop, a cafe and a railway station. From the property, there is a wide selection of activities to choose from, including birdwatching, fishing (in-season license required) and awe-inspiring walking routes alongside the rivers’ edge. Wroxham, known as the capital of the Norfolk Broads, is 16 miles away and offers fine restaurants and boat hire for exploring the waters. The classic seaside resort of Great Yarmouth is within 30 miles, as well as the more understated bay of Hemsby Beach. Here, you can follow the 3.5-mile route along the coastal path to Winterton Valley, where you can grab a bite to eat and perhaps spot the colony of grey seals regularly seen basking on the beach.
Admire your storybook cottage before stepping inside the entrance porch and slipping into your fluffiest slippers. Move into your welcoming open-plan living space, which has plenty of character thanks to its exposed wooden beams, two wood burners and an impressive inglenook fireplace. Settle down on the plush sofas with a piping hot brew before heading into the country-style kitchen to whip up freshly caught Cromer-crab sandwiches and sparkling glasses of bubbles. Serve up around the breakfast bar in the kitchen or carry it out to the six-seater table in the light and airy living area. Finishing off the ground floor is the wonderful bathroom with its large bathtub and walk-in shower. Discover three soothing bedrooms at the end of every fun-filled day. The first is a charming twin room on the ground floor, decorated in muted grey and white palettes. The double and king-size rooms are up on the first floor, with ample space and relaxing tones. Rounding off this floor is the additional WC and basin.
Beyond the stable door, a traditional cottage-style garden awaits you. On sunny days and warm evenings, step outside to relax on the circular furniture to catch up with your family and friends. The tiered landscape is pretty and is ideal for lounging on the grass to read some pages of a popular novel. There is private parking for six cars at the cottage.
