Beechcroft Cottage is a waterside unique retreat offering stunning views over the River Dart, making it the perfect getaway for families and friends seeking peace and relaxation in the historic town of Dartmouth. Designed with comfort and warmth in mind, Beechcroft Cottage boasts a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere. The spacious, open-plan living areas are perfect for large groups to unwind and celebrate special moments together with five bedrooms to choose from a memorable family adventure awaits at Beechcroft Cottage.
Accommodation
The property is accessed via a lift by the parking area and across a shared rear terrace to the porch, an ideal place for coats and boots. Enter the property and follow the hallway through into the spacious lounge, relaxing space with floor to ceiling windows on two sides offering expansive views over the River Dart, with sliding doors leading to a decked area, an ideal place to sit and relax listening to the river lapping against the garden wall. Leading off from the lounge is the dining room with seating for upto 10 guests which in turn leads into the spacious well equipped kitchen with breakfast dining for 4 guests.
Decend the stairs to the lower ground floor to the nautically themed games room with a pool table and table football, perfect for family fun. Also on this level you will find a spacious shower room with walk-in shower and a utility room housing the washing machine, tumble dryer and a further fridge. You also have access out to the garden on this level.
On the first floor you will find three of the bedrooms. The master bedroom is a generously sized room with a king size bed, ample storage, a large TV and an en suite bathroom with a bath and wall mounted shower. The second lounge is accessed through this room with floor to ceiling windows on two sides and comfortable seating to sit and relax in whilst taking in the view. This room also includes a 4ft double guest bed and while private, the room lacks curtains, so consider this if using for sleeping. The second bedroom is furnished with a king size bed, ample storage and a TV with Bedroom 3 furnished with a double bed, chest of drawers and a wall mounted TV. Also on this floor is a family bathroom with panelled bath with wall mounted shower over, wc and basin.
Ascend the staircase to the second floor and into the open plan family bedroom suite comprising of a double bed with a curtained doorway leading through to the two single beds and a seating area with TV. From here the rooftop balcony can be accessed with stunning views of the river and across to Kingswear. A cloakroom is also provided on this level.
Garden
The enclosed garden with mature shrubs and trees offers a tranquil escape, complete with paved walkways, a natural pond, and plenty of seating areas.
Parking
One allocated parking space is provided. There is on street parking available a short distance away (restrictions apply at certain times of year) and the town centre car park is a 10 minute walk away
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
The property is accessed via a lift, with approximately 18 steps leading from the car park to the lift. Due to this unique access, we recommend the property may not be suitable for small children or those with mobility restrictions.
Children are not to be left unsupervised in the garden due to the close proximity to the river and the pond in the corner of the garden or in the attic bedroom due to the direct access out onto the roof top balcony
Please note that during the summer holidays this property only excepts 7 night bookings on a Friday changeover.
