About this property
"Maison des Vignes" - Character House for 8 in quiet village
Set in the tiny hamlet of La Rochette, "Maison des Vignes" was originally 2 houses side-by side that now forms one property to sleep up to 8 people.
Owned by artists Matthew and Susan, this charming property has been carefully renovated with a traditional yet unique and quirky style, featuring hand designed and printed wallpaper, antique retro furniture and many original pieces of art.
Consisting of 2 houses side-by-side, Maison des Vignes is the perfect property for friends or family to get together while also having a private space to retreat to.
House 1 - Maison des Vignes
At the end of the large forecourt, steps lead up to the veranda and entrance of "Maison des Vignes". Inside, you step into a large, well-equipped kitchen with a 4-place dining table that can be extended to seat 12. Off to the left is a cosy, dual-aspect sitting room with patio doors leading out on to the wooden terrace overlooking the back garden. A staircase leads from the sitting room, up to two bright, double bedrooms and a large shower room.
House 2 - Maison du Laurier
Adjacent to Maison des Vignes is "Maison du Laurier" which is entered at ground level and features a large, open room that can be configured as a sitting room or games room with the available ping pong table. A small bathroom leads off from here, whilst upstairs there are two large bedrooms; one Double and one with 2 single beds.
The property is accessed via gates leading on to a large driveway/courtyard. To the left and rear of the property is a long, rambling L-Shaped garden featuring an abundance of Fig, Mirabelle and Cherry trees.
Guests have the use of the entire grounds. A 3rd house belonging to the owners is situated to the front of the property but this is unoccupied and no longer available to rent.
The Property is supplied with all linen and towels free of charge.
