2BR Village Run Condo @ Sugarbush/ Lincoln Peak

#### CHRISTMAS/NEW YEARS WEEK RENTAL ONLY! A 3 night minimum rental required (or stay 7 nights, pay for 6 and the 7th night is free), $500/night VRBO's booking fees and Vermont tax - NO CLEANING FEES!!! ####

Description:
2 bedroom 'Village Run' condominium, located at Sugarbush South/Lincoln Peak. Condo is located 1/2 mile from the resort, and it is ski in* (via Village Run) and there is a free shuttle bus or a short walk to a ski out trail back to the ski area. Other then the resort's Clay Brook hotel or the Snow Creek condo's you can not get much closer, and those will cost you 2 to 4x what our unit rents for!

We have a sunny deck with views of ski slope. 2 floors/ 1 bath/ 2 bedrooms. BR#1 w/ queen bed. BR#2 with four single bunk style beds and sleeper couch in living room.

Unit was last renovated in Jan 2010: New sliders & front door, new flooring.

Parents? A baby crib is available and the wood stove and stairs can all be gated/childproofed.

We have a woodstove, but due to insurance, renters are required to sign a rental agreement that includes a clause that says they will not use the woodstove.

Lastly, as many people have, we've "cut the cord" and no longer have a landline in our condo. Most people have and use cell phones. All major cell phone carriers work at our condo (Verizon, Spint, AT&T, T-Mobile, etc), this is typically not an issue, but we believe its best understood up front.

* Ski-in/out is dependant on adequate natural snow coverage.

Great location for skiing!

Pete is so helpful. He has great directions and instructions to make the stay easy. Great location and lots to enjoy. We brought all our food and the house had plenty of kitchen items. Wonderful Mountain View from back porch.

Great condo for our family!

Everything was as advertised, neat, and clean. The owner was very helpful and readily available to answer any questions. Our only complaints would be that Sugarbush didn't have the trail to the condos open (not the owner's fault) and maybe a few more channels for the cable system (though the owner has Netflix, which did provide plenty of things to watch).

Comfortable, family-oriented

This unit is not fancy, but it is perfect for a family with kids. It is located in a quiet area, close enough to the ski area that no car is needed. It is a short walk to the lifts and, if there is enough snow, you can basically ski down to the chairlift and then get back home using the village run (although this trail has a long flat stretch). It is also not far from the gym that is equipped with a pool, sauna, climbing walls and a large indoor playing area with inflatables, basketball and tennis courts. There is a good amount of space, with a master bedroom and a kid's room with four bunk beds and enough space for the kids to play there, if they wish. The kitchen is well-equipped; we cook our own food and found everything we needed (except for a rolling pin, but the owner said he will add one). Beside electric heating, there is a wood stove that heats up the house in no time and allows for drying up clothes after coming back from skiing. The owner is always available to a address any questions or issues that may arise. Overall, we had a very good experience and would highly recommend this place, in particular to families of 4-5.

Cozy Place in the Slopes

We plan a family trip every year to a ski area across the USA. We really liked this location as it was close to the slopes (quick bus ride) and tucked away from noises. It was a relaxing environment and Pete was great. The slopes were mostly ice, so the ski conditions were not great,. The trip was still very relaxing and enjoyable. The wood stove puts off a warmth that fills the condo. I would highly recommend this location if you are looking to ski Sugarbush.

Great value for proximity to slopes

Our family of five recently stayed in this nice condo for four nights during a February trip for (great!) skiing at Sugarbush. The condo had everything we wanted for an affordable price: small but adequate kitchen (well stocked with pots/pans, dishware, etc.), comfortable dining and living area, and comfortable beds. It also had a large TV with Netflix access, which was nice, and a wood burning stove that was easy to start and provided warmth and ambiance (though it also dried out the air significantly). Most importantly, the unit is quite close to the Lincoln Peak base area. My wife and kids did return to the condo once by skiing down the Village Run Trail, and it was a very short walk from the end of that trail to the condo entrance. (While the unit is legitimately "ski in," it isn't possible to ski out via the Village Run Trail. Apparently, by walking some distance to the parking lot of some nearby condos, it is possible to access another ski trail that leads to the base of the mountain. But with kids and multiple sets of skis we thought it easier just to drive to the base area.) My only complaint is that the drying functionality on the washer/dryer combo unit was very slow. I eventually gave up and dried clothes by hanging them near the wood-burning stove, which worked quite well. It is also worth mentioning that the owner is very helpful. He re-installed gates around the stove and at the top and bottom of the stairs to accommodate our travel with a 1-year-old, and also provided a porta-crib for our use. Overall, I highly recommend this unit for anyone who is looking for an affordable option that, while not luxurious or contemporary, is plenty comfortable and well-located.

Cute, comfortable and clean

A cozy place with easy access to the Sugarbush base. Four of us had plenty of room in these comfortable accommodations. The owners are a pleasure to do business with.

Perfect Location

Nice condo, located very close to the Lincoln Peak base lodge. Small and nothing fancy but a great value for the price. The owners included a nice welcome basket and provided a packet of info on the mountain and surrounding area. Didn't get a chance to ski home due an extremely warm winter, but I'd definitely book this place again on my next trip to the valley. Thanks for a great stay.

Good location at a reasonable price

This condo provides quick access to Sugarbush and met all of our needs for a ski vacation. The place was exactly as described and pictured on the web site, and worked well for our family of 2 adults and 3 tweens. The room with 4 bunk beds is quite handy for groups with kids, and the master bedroom was fine as well. While not fancy, the kitchen had plenty of pots, pans, utensils, plates, glasses, flatware, paper products, and accessories. The table is large enough for 6, there was similar seating capacity by the TV, and the entryway offered plenty of room for coats, boots, and such. The owners were friendly, and had the condo stocked with plenty of supplies like extra shampoo, soap, bandages, magazines, CDs, etc. Due to some warm weather before we arrived there wasn't enough snow to try the ski in/out aspect of this location, so we used the shuttle service and found it to be fairly convenient in terms of the pick up location, timeliness of the vehicles, and the speed of the trip to both Sugarbush base areas. All in all, this condo provided all we needed from ski vacation lodging at a very reasonable price.

Great family rental - convenient and cozy

This place was perfect for our family of four. A short walk to the shuttle bus to the slopes. The kids loved the bunk beds and the wood stove made for a very cozy apres-ski. At the owner's suggestion, we watched the MLK weekend torch light parade and fireworks from the deck of the condo which was beautiful and a very nice memory for the whole family. The unit was well-equipped and accurately described in the listing and the ownwer was conscientious and a pleasure to deal with, even very graciously coming to bail us out when we inadvertently locked ourselves out one day. Would rent again if our travels take us back to Sugarbush. Thanks!

Great location!

Condo accurately described. Just the basics but perfect for our family of 4. Great location. Did not use the ski on/off because we had friends on the mountain, but seems easy enough and if not a shuttle is a short walk away. The owner was a pleasure to work with and we had a very nice welcome basket with information and local goodies. Would definitely stay here again if our travel plans take us back up that way! Thank you!

Sugarbush condo - 117833 review

We had a great time and were thrilled with the comfortable accommodations, a delightful gift basket full of Vermont goodies, helpful packet of information and phone calls to check in on us...While you can walk to the slope, the shuttle bus is easy and efficient. We didn't move the car once!

This place was great

We are a family of 2 adults and 4 kids. This place was perfect for us...so nice and cozy. It was great to come back to it's wood burning fireplace after a long day on the slopes. We had never been to Sugarbush before. It's an awesome mountain, perfect for all skiing levels. One of the best things about this condo was its location. After a short walk, we were able to ski right to the ski lifts. The last thing we wanted to do after spending a lot of time to get everyone ready, was to have to get in the car.

I'm a ski patroller at Sugarbush, and have been on their staff since 1992. Because of this, we have excellent local knowledge and can help make sure you enjoy your vacation at our condo.

Why they chose this property

We've been renting this unit out (primarily during holiday periods) since we've owned it - thats nearly years of experience. I think we've worked out all the kinks and know how to ensure your visit is 'hassle free' if you rent from us!

What makes this property unique

- Location, location, location!!!
- Hassle free renting, you are dealing with the owner, not an agent, and we make the process seamless
- Ski in/ski out (if there is adequate natural snow cover, and with a bit of walking), but way cheaper then the few true ski in/ski out properties available.
- Clean and simple accomodations, nothing really fancy, but reasonbly priced compared to everyone else this close to the resort.
