About this property
Little Close - Three Bedroom House, Sleeps 6
This stylish home is the perfect base for friends or family looking to explore the captivating Lake District. Set on a quiet back street, the centre of popular Bowness-on-Windermere is less than 300 metres away. This bustling tourist town has a wide variety of shops selling local produce, outdoor clothing, locally made crafts and gifts, as well as a good choice of cafes, bars and restaurants. The Lake District is renowned for being the adventure capital of the UK, and there is an activity here for everyone, from sailing and climbing to hill walking, horse riding and kayaking. For a more sedate day out, take a boat trip from Bowness Pier and tour Lake Windermere. Hop on board one of the restored steamers and take in the sights of this spectacular landscape.
This traditional Lakeland stone building has been extensively refurbished to produce a fantastic holiday cottage. Downstairs, there is a spacious kitchen/diner. From the dining table, you can look out through double glass doors to the patio garden beyond. The lounge has a comfortable corner sofa facing the cosy wood burner, a perfect spot to plan the next day's activity or relax in front of the TV. There is a super king-size room, a king-size with an en-suite shower, and a twin room with a TV and Xbox with a game pass - ideal for the younger members of your party. Also on this floor is the contemporary family bathroom.
Outside the kitchen, you have a lovely stone-walled patio area with a table, chairs and ambient lighting for dining under the stars on warm summer evenings.
