Nestled in a tranquil setting in the Devon countryside, this charming property offers a perfect retreat for nature lovers where you can enjoy close-up views of wildlife including badgers, buzzards and roe deer wander past the windows. Less than a mile from the charming market town of Honiton, this outstanding contemporary property sleeps eight guests in stylish comfort. Beautifully furnished, it is ideal for a large family or group of friends, with unspoiled countryside to explore and charming seaside towns such as Sidmouth and Lyme Regis within 14 miles. Honiton’s colourful high street is lined with independent shops and restaurants, where you can sample a Devon cream tea. The town has been renowned for lacemaking since Elizabethan times, and you can see exquisite examples of antique lace in Honiton’s historic Allhallows Museum. Broadhembury, voted the most beautiful village in Devon, is only 3 miles away by car and boasts an amazing pub and circular walks. For those seeking coastal adventures, a short car journey south will unveil the awe-inspiring Jurassic Coast, including seaside towns such as Branscombe, Sidmouth, Seaton, Beer and Lyme Regis all within 18 miles. For a change of pace, the cathedral city of Exeter is easily accessible by train, 25 miles away where there are a wealth of shops and cultural experiences awaiting your discovery. Visit the Quay for kayaking or rock climbing. Family fun is to be had at Escot Wildwood getting lost in the maize or visit Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary. Haldon Hill for mountain biking and Go Ape! high rope escapades above the tree’s give a memorable day out. Step inside the bright hallway of this split-level holiday home and take a short flight of stairs down to the wonderfully light and roomy open-plan living space. Wooden floors complement the stylish contemporary interior, with sumptuous seating in soft neutral shades. There’s a large dining table with room for all, and the superb kitchen with a breakfast bar will incentivise would-be chefs. Also on this floor is a splendid super-king-size zip-and-link bedroom. A second super-king-size is upstairs, off the hallway, as well as a shower room with floor level walk in shower. Both bedrooms can made up as twins. Head up to the next floor to find two further super-king-size bedrooms. One has an en-suite bathroom, the other, which can be made up as a twin, has a floor level walk in shower room. Both have balconies with seating and lovely views across the Otter Valley.
Outside, a large, enclosed patio with garden furniture and a BBQ overlooks a large pond and an extensive grassed area with mature trees. Guests can also explore five acres of the owner’s surrounding land, which includes a beautiful meadow and a lake with a rowing boat. There is ample off-road parking.
