About this property
Capel Dyffryn - Four Bedroom House, Sleeps 8
Dating back to the 19th century, this former chapel has been beautifully restored to combine the best of old and new. Ideal for families or friends, perhaps celebrating a special occasion, it’s set on a quiet lane within peaceful countryside, making it the perfect choice for anyone who wants to get away from it all and enjoy some of the best scenery in Wales. Within 3 miles you can be in the bustling village of Abersoch, where you’ll find a variety of shops and places to eat, a golf course, a safe, sheltered beach and boats to the St Tudwal’s Islands. The beautiful beaches of Llanbedrog and Porth Neigwl are around the same distance, while the popular surfing destination of Hell’s Mouth is just 4 miles, and the ‘Whistling Sands’ are 9 miles. Walk from the door to Mynytho Common for spectacular vistas of Porth Neigwl and Snowdonia.
With luxurious, modern amenities and stylish, high-quality furnishings, this unique holiday cottage makes a fabulous impression. After walking along the broad path to the front door, enter the double-height hallway with its classic Victorian-tiled floor. Above is the original balcony front, and from here you can choose one of the two side staircases to reach the mezzanine living area that overlooks the hall. This sociable, open-plan space has a beautiful wooden floor and is illuminated by light streaming through a series of arched windows on all sides. The cosy lounge area boasts long sofas and a Smart TV, and there’s a long dining table that everyone can gather round for hearty meals, sitting at the original altar chairs. The superb kitchen has a large island and includes two fridges, a dishwasher and a multi-function oven. A utility area on the ground floor complements this space. There’s also a further seating area downstairs, by the original pulpit, which is ideal for chilling out with a good book. All four bedrooms are downstairs, these include two king-size rooms and two super-king-size bedrooms that can convert to twin rooms on request. These elegant bedrooms all have pale walls and wooden floors for a tranquil ambience and offer ample storage. Serving the bedrooms and completing the interior, find a family bathroom with a free-standing bathtub, and a shower room with a walk-in shower.
For lazy days in the sunshine, head through the door by the downstairs seating area and down a step onto the patio. Here you’ll find comfortable outdoor furniture for lounging or dining. Enjoy the view over the south-facing garden, which measures around a third of an acre. Fire up the gas BBQ and cook a delicious supper as you listen to the pheasants. There is ample private parking at the front of the property. Private parking for 8 vehicles.
