About this property
Luxury 2-bed woodland cottage in Re-wilding area
Keepers Cottage is a stunning two bedroom woodland cottage on the Mapperton Estate in West Dorset. It is a perfect place for connecting with nature and appreciating the extraordinary natural beauty of the area. It is within Mapperton Wildlands, Dorset's most spectacular rewilding project, and only 15 minutes from the breathtaking Jurassic Coast. The cottage has a master suite, with an en suite bathroom and a second double room & bathroom with super king or twin beds. There is a fully equipped kitchen plus a sitting room and a dining room. There is also a sofa bed in the sitting room.
It has been renovated to the highest standard and is full of comfortable country furniture and antiques. There is an outside deck and gardens with views onto the stunning West Dorset countryside.
There will be some basic food items ready for your arrival, including a bottle of wine.
All guests will be given free access to Mapperton Gardens during the season (April to September). You can also join a House tour for a reduced fee (to be organised at Reception). You can arrange to walk the self-guided Mapperton Wildlands during the season and within opening hours, and there are also wonderful walking trails which start right outside the house.
