About this property
Willow Tree Barn - Brigsteer, Lake District
Willow Tree Barn is one of those places where you feel at home as soon as you walk through the door. This barn conversion is fitted out to a high standard with natural oak finishes and large windows and has generous amounts of space throughout. The ground floor is all open plan so you can move easily between the lounge (with a superb large logburner), and the kitchen/ dining area. This property has proven to be very popular with guests and their pet dogs (up to 2 permitted). It's ideal if you are seeking a peaceful edge of village location that is quick to reach from the M6, located in the South Lakes area of the Lake District, and has lots of great walks and pubs serving great food on the doorstep.
You will be staying in the left-hand half of the property, with your own private entrance. Enter through the double-height glazed doors into the open-plan area. Head over to the kitchen area fitted with modern built-in appliances, including a full-size fridge freezer, a good amount of storage and very good worktop space. The stylish dining table seats four with ease, and it's just a few steps then to take your place on the excellent 3 seater sofa or armchair. Here, you can enjoy catching up on your favourite programmes on the Smart TV and be warmed through by the double-height log burner. Underfloor heating throughout this property ensures a steady comfortable temperature.
Upstairs to the two well-proportioned double bedrooms. The first bedroom has a Double pine bedstead and storage furniture, Velux window, and an en-suite with walk-in shower. The second bedroom has a Kingsize divan bed and has mirrored built-in wardrobes, bedside tables, and a Velux window and the en suite is very smartly fitted with full tiling and has a bath with shower over. There is a third small room which can be used for storage or as a clothes drying room. Outside, there is a picnic table, a bench, and ample parking space. We also have Willow Tree Glamping Pod, a sleeps 2 pod at the same location which can be booked separately.
The Wheatsheaf in Brigsteer is your local pub (8 minute walk) and has a good reputation for food (booking recommended). A short drive away, you will find several other very well-regarded pubs, including The Punch Bowl, and The Black Labrador, both at Crosthwaite, The Masons Arms at Strawberry Bank, and the Hare and Hounds at Bowland Bridge. You are within easy driving distance of Lake Windermere, the high Lake District fells and, in the attractive market town of Kendal (6 miles), you will be spoilt for choice with pubs, restaurants, cafes and entertainment, including the famous Brewery Arts Centre which has cinemas, live events, and exhibitions.
