About this property
Ty Mawr Coach House - Two Bedroom House, Sleeps 5
Enjoying an elevated location with far-reaching views across the Brecon Beacons National Park, this property is the perfect base for a family holiday or an adventure-filled getaway with friends. Situated just half a mile from the village of Llangorse (which is well-served with a local shop and two village pubs), the surrounding area is perfect for outdoor pursuits. Visit Llangorse Lake – the largest natural lake in South Wales, where you can try out several water sports including kayaking and sailing. Llangorse Multi-Activity Centre offers family activities, climbing, archery and horse riding. Walkers can choose to follow the rivers and canals or enjoy the hilltop views, whilst cyclists can embrace the country lanes and mountain tracks. For the more easy-going guests, there are some lovely market towns such as Hay-on-Wye, known as the town of books, Crickhowell and Brecon, all within 11 miles.
The detached cottage is set within a cluster of cottages and enjoys an elevated position. Guests are welcomed in via a generously sized hallway with space for storing coats and boots, along with a ground-floor shower room and WC. From here, you’ll enter the heart of the cottage, a traditional farm kitchen/diner with wooden crafted cabinets and well-equipped for preparing meals and packed lunches. There is a generously sized table and chairs inviting guests to gather around to enjoy a hearty meal after a day in the hills. A spacious lounge offers the perfect space for relaxing with family and friends, with comfortable seating, a Smart TV and a piano. The large French doors and dual-aspect windows allow lots of natural light to fill this space. Upstairs, guests have the choice of two beautifully finished bedrooms; a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and WC, and an inviting triple room with three single beds and an en-suite bathroom with WC.
Outside, guests have use of an enclosed garden with a table and chairs for summer dining and far-reaching views across the National Park. There is off-road private parking for three cars.
