Great Mountain Getaway

Lovely cabin nestled in the woods of a gated community with a golf course. Sit on the back deck and look into the woods while enjoying the sounds of nature or enjoy one of the oversized rocking chairs on the front porch. Interior is beautiful and spacious with two sitting areas. One downstairs and one upstairs. Lots of windows to give great views of exterior. Kitchen is fully stocked with all your cooking needs (pans, dishes, etc).Bedding is comfy and gives a great nights sleep.Full sized washer and dryer. About the area:Nice 25 minute drive to Pigeon Forge on Hwy 321. Make time to checkout Wears Valley lots of cute shops. Mountain Brotjhers General Store & Brewery is a must. Recommend Riverstone Family Restaurant in Townsend. The hidden jewel is Paw-Paws Family Kitchen. This is a family owned restauraunt by a family that is from Cajun Country. They brought their accent and Cajun recipes. Communications with Owner were prompt and informative. Check-in and out was smooth. Love that all the light switches in the cabin are labeled.

Quaint cottage

We all enjoyed our stay at this quaint cottage. Loved the town because it wasn’t a congested area just a great place to stay. Cyndi is a very accommodating host. Only one thing we wish we would have had there was a broom, so we could have swept up the leaves. Definitely recommended!

Great stay on the quiet side of the mountain

My daughter and I enjoyed our weekend together. She is in graduate school at UT and can’t visit home often. I appreciated the ability to bring our dogs so that my daughter could see them because she misses them very much. We made some good memories sitting together on the porch. Thanks for a great stay.

Townsend

Everything was wonderful!! Everyone needs to read the information on BEARS. On our morning to leave there were 5 bears around the cabin. We had to wait for them to leave before we could leave!! We read the tip about DO NOT LEAVE FOOD IN CAR!!! and thankfully they left our car alone. The only negative we had is no tv in den downstairs.

About the host

Host profile image
We arrived in the Smokies over 16 years ago. Our first trip was a fly fishing adventure. Until then, my only Smokies adventure had been to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.
Townsend proved to be an oasis in the mountains. The setting is serene and peaceful and without the trappings of the more recognized areas. Trout were not the only things hooked that weekend... we were as well. Just one year later, we arrived in Townsend to live full time. It took a year to make it happen, but we were determined to make the Smokies our home.
We surely can not imagine living anywhere else. Waking every morning to the sunrise over the mountains, and the sights and sounds of the birds and other wild life living in the area, is an unbelievable experience.

It has been our objective to educate others about the wonders of living here in this beautiful place and we have done our best to create an environment that will hopefully give our guests a place to call home when they come to visit.
The number of returning guests has grown greatly in the past years.
If your dates of arrival are not available for this cabin, try our other cabins
also on VRBO.

Why they chose this property

This home is located in a true mountain community with paved roadways and easy access.. The community is located only minuets from the Cades Cove entrance of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.

What makes this property unique

It is our mission to maintain our cabins in a manner that will never disappoint. We are VERY local and we keep a watchful eye over our retreats.
We want you to consider our cabins your home away from home in the Smokies.
