If you are looking for a family day out, Epic Life (2 miles) offers activities such as paddleboarding and kayaking or choose to spend the day at Camber Sands (14 miles), a fabulous stretch of unspoilt sandy beach. A trip to Bedgebury National Pinetum and Forest (8 miles) boasts stunning trails through one of the UK’s most impressive tree collections. After a day of exploring, you’ll find plenty of cosy pubs and great dining spots nearby, or choose to walk around the owner’s vineyard nearby.

Kick-off muddy boots and hang up coats in the welcoming entrance hallway before heading through to the first of two impressive living spaces. With lofty vaulted ceilings, plush sofas, and a Smart TV, this open-plan lounge is made for relaxing, while a handy desk area means you can squeeze in some work (if you really must).
