I highly recommend this property as a base for exploring all there is to do in Galveston.
Three key points… Location, cleanliness, and parking!
Location… the home is on a side street close to the Pleasure Pier, that means it’s an easy walk to the pier, or the beach, or to a few restaurants such as Fishtails. The street is perpendicular to and three blocks from the Seawall. There is very little traffic on this street because it doesn’t go all the way to the main drag. Very quiet neighborhood.
Parking… Unlike most homes on the island, you have a private drive to park in.
Cleanliness… The house is close to 100 years old on the outside, but almost brand new on the inside. TV in the living room and in the smaller bedroom connects to your steaming service.
Well appointed kitchen and comfortable mattresses make this house a winner.
Ike, our host, was very attentive and easy to reach, although we had no problems to worry about.
