About this property
Brand cabin/sunny side of Gaustadtoppen/superviews
Welcome to this new high-standard cabin on the sunny side of Gaustatoppen!
Here you get a great view towards Gaustadknea and Torskjærvannet. Cross-country trails and hiking opportunities right outside the door of the cabin.
Alpine skiing is possible only a short distance away.
The cabin itself appears inviting and with a high standard and fine details in all rooms.
It has a great fully equipped kitchen, a large living room with a wood-burning stove for good cabin cosines. 4 bedrooms with a total of 8 sleeping places, 2 beautiful bathrooms, one of which is connected to the master bedroom.
One of Norway’s oldest mountain hotels is just 1 km away, a nice little experience away to this magical place that offers everything from Guildhall, general store, bakery and own Fjellbryggeri.
After a long ski trip, it is natural to make your way into this place for refreshment in every way.
The cabin, which we have chosen to call Fjellrede, appears very inviting.
Contains 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, separate laundry room, internal storage room, living room, kitchen and lounge room with external atrium.
Beds:
2 x150x200cm og 2 x180x200 cm.
The place has been given a small taste from one of the participants from Eventyrlig Uppussing.
This applies to both bathrooms.
Furnishing comes from drivved.no.
An alarm with a code lock has been installed on the main door, so it is easy to use.
The place Tuddal and Stulsvegen 2 is on the plateau itself, so this means that you are at the top so that you can easily get around and get that high mountain feeling.
Very nice summer and winter and it takes about 15 minutes by car if you want to climb the Gaustatoppen. This does not apply in winter, as the road over to Gaustadblikk is partially closed all winter.
They try to keep this up in high season, but it depends on the weather.
Large, nice new grocery store just 10 minutes away.
Driveway right up to the door and good guest parking right next to it.
In winter, you will find driven skiers 100 meters from the cabin. The trail network is varied and you can find both family-friendly and challenging routes in several directions. There are trails here both on Snaufjellet and in the forest belt.
The popular Gaustatoppen can be reached in both summer and winter. Several go randonee from our cabin area to Gaustatoppen.
Gaustadknea is the starting point for other fine peaks in the area. In winter, ski slopes are driven up to the area at the Gaustadblikk Alpine Centre. This gives a nice round of 25 km from the cabin.
In winter, it takes about 1.5 hours by car to drive there from the cabin. A couple of times in recent years it has been open for periods. If the road over the mountain remains open, it takes about 20 minutes by car to reach this very large alpine area.
There is also another small ski area called flugonfjell with a ski lift. This facility is approximately 20 minutes by car from the cabin
Distances
About 10 minutes by car from the cabin, there is, among other things, a grocery store, Bøen kiosk and café where you can grab a bite to eat. I also strongly recommend a visit to Tuddal høyfjellshotell approx. 5 minutes by car from the cabin or a journey of approx. 9 km.
Many ski or hike in this place. Dinner at the hotel, a high-quality 3 or 4-course dinner with a wine package, is highly recommended.
Charming Rjukan with all its history is about 20 minutes away.
The road over to Rjukan may be closed in winter.
Please note that bed linen/towels are not included in the price. You may bring your own or rent them for 200 NOK per set (except for last-minute bookings). Let us know in advance if you'd like to rent them. Cleaning is included, but you’ll need to prepare the place for cleaning according to further instructions.
P.S. When booking Easter holidays, the rule is that you can book from Friday to Wednesday, Wednesday to Monday, or for the entire period.
