About the property
This Grade II listed 18th-century wisteria-clad sanctuary combines modern sophistication with characterful charm. With a private 12-meter pontoon extending from its lush lawn, guests can enjoy exclusive river access, perfect for RIBs, paddleboards and kayaks. As evening falls, relax by the fire pit or soak in the hot tub under the stars, before retreating indoors to relax in sumptuous comfort. Should you wish to explore the area, you're perfectly placed to enjoy a selection of family-friendly activities, along with a selection of excellent pubs and restaurants.
The space
Inside, the property exudes warmth and sophistication, thoughtfully designed with a harmonious mix of antiques and contemporary touches. The parquet flooring softened with rugs, and the beamed ceilings throughout create an inviting and authentic ambience.
The kitchen is a culinary haven, featuring an old pine breakfast table with seating for six, an induction hob, dual ovens, dishwasher, fridge, microwave and coffee machine. The dining room, centered around an inglenook fireplace, boasts a fruitwood table that comfortably seats six, making every meal a memorable experience.
The sitting room is equally enchanting, offering two elegant three-seater sofas, two tapestry-covered chairs, a flat-screen TV and an open fireplace—perfect for unwinding after a day of riverside activities.
Children will delight in the whimsical ‘secret' bedroom, a magical space with a small door and a beamed ceiling. This cosy twin bedroom captures the imagination and is always a favourite. Meanwhile, the remaining two king-size and double bedrooms promise restful nights with plush beds dressed in Egyptian cotton linens, accompanied by fluffy towels and thoughtful touches like hair dryers, fans and eco-friendly toiletries.
The outdoor spaces elevate its charm to the extraordinary. The outdoor kitchen and BBQ area, shaded by a glass roof entwined with grapevines, offers an unparalleled alfresco dining experience. Fully equipped with gas and kettle BBQs, an oven, induction hob, two fridges, a dishwasher, and a butler sink, it combines functionality with breathtaking views of the flower-filled gardens and the serene river.
As the sun sets, the festoon lighting and outdoor ceiling heaters create an atmospheric backdrop for evening gatherings, whether sipping fine wine or indulging in gourmet delights.
