About this property
Haven House Beautiful Lymington Home with Garden & Annex
**** AVAILABLE TO LET IN JULY & AUGUST 2025 ONLY ****
Haven House & Hideaway, a gorgeous well-equipped home on a quiet residential road in Lymington, Hampshire, is ideal for family or group holidays.
The property is in close proximity to this famous Georgian town’s nautical neighbourhood — a short stroll to its quay, yacht & sailing clubs, boatyards, and marinas; whilst the town centre, with its long high street full of shops, pubs and restaurants is also very walkable in under 12 minutes. Last, but not least, all the natural wonders of The New Forest are only a short drive away!
The Space:
Haven House is a large 1930’s semi-detached home that offers lots of space and comfortable living areas, a beautiful private garden, a separate one bedroom studio annex, and off-street parking — and is situated within the popular Georgian town of Lymington, near to the south coast and The New Forest.
The whole property is tastefully decorated with a high quality finish and artistic pieces throughout; and accommodates up to six guests in the main house, plus another two in the separate self-contained studio annex located in the garden, known as Haven Hideaway.
On the ground floor of the house, a sense of cosiness and elegance greets guests through an entrance hallway, and into the kitchen area, which opens up into a spectacular open plan living and dining area on the garden side of the property with lovely tile flooring.
This large space has a stunning high vaulted bright extension overlooking the garden, with an abundance of natural light from the well-designed high windows above. There’s enough seating for six guests on a pair of delightful wicker sofas to enjoy the garden view, whilst double doors at the rear open up to the garden area.
Also in the open plan area is a simple round pine dining table with four chairs for mealtimes.
The recently refurbished cream kitchen comes well-stocked with plenty of storage, a fridge freezer, double oven and gas hob, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, and air fryer. There’s also lots of pots & pans, dinnerware, glassware, and cutlery to utilise for your stay.
Towards the front of the house is an inviting lounge with a superb sofa and armchair set, a smart tv with streaming apps, and a gas fireplace. This space leads on to the main dining area, with an oak dining set accommodating eight people comfortably.
In the hallway is a handy cloakroom, with a toilet, heated towel rail, and small wash basin.
Upstairs is a new family shower room with attractive tile work, a substantial walk-in shower with raindrop head and handheld shower head, a heated towel rail, toilet, heated illuminated mirror, and wash basin.
An ensuite double room sits at the front of the upstairs space, and features a wooden double bed, storage chest and cabinets, a large bay window, and armchair. The ensuite bathroom features a full-size bath, with shower above, a heated towel rail, cabinets, and toilet.
The second bedroom on this floor is a simple double room overlooking the garden, and features large built-in wardrobes, a wooden double bed, and side tables.
Up one more flight of stairs reveals the third bedroom in the loft. Again this room features plenty of storage and a single trundle bed (with additional pull-out single) which can be pushed together to make a superking on request.
Haven Hideaway, the garden annex, is accessed via a side gate of the main house down a side return. This single-story recently refurbished studio unit is surrounded by gardens, and has its own front door. Being an entirely separate dwelling from the main house, it also has a cosy, quiet, and private feel.
Inside the studio, a bright triple-aspect kitchen living and sleeping space await, with a lovely well-equipped kitchen and a shower room with toilet. There’s also a simple shaker style oak dining table with two chairs for mealtimes, a superking bed (which can be separated into two singles on request) smart tv, and storage pieces. The Hideaway also has a private patio, accessed via some French doors, with an outdoor table, parasol, and various garden chairs.
The main lawned garden is a delight and is home to a variety of flowers, climbers, and shrubs, and features a small outdoor chair set.
There’s free Wi-Fi throughout Haven House and Haven Hideaway, a hairdryer in each, private parking on the driveway, and central heating. Towels, linen, basic cleaning equipment, and some toiletries are included in your stay.
Neighbourhood:
You’ll be spoilt for choice for places to eat & drink nearby — with pubs, cafés, tea rooms, and restaurants all within easy walking distance.
For shoppers, Lymington is fantastic for its weekly Saturday market and its many high street retail shops, supermarkets, and boutiques. It makes for an ideal base for many coastal pursuits, including yachting & sailing facilities, ferries to the Isle of Wight, and maritime historical sites such as Hurst Castle.
To the north is the majestic New Forest, with its incredible scenery, quaint villages, and abundant wildlife.
