Dirty and Maintenance Needed

The location was wonderful but the overall cleanliness of the apartment was poor. There was dust on every surface, random hairs, gross stains on the pillow cases. In particular, there was a red stain on one pillow case and orange stains within the sheets. The bathroom sink was clogged and there is mold under every sink. The shower curtain was corroded with black and orange mold. At night, the room was moist and wet. All the sheets felt damp. We slept on top of the sheets with blankets we bought. This was not a comfortably stay due to the moisture and uncleanliness of the apartment.

BEACH! Great location, easy access and parking!

I was in from NJ to help my son move into UC Irvine for freshman year. A lot of in and out of the apartment and the first floor access and parking space made it perfect. Deliveries were easy. And when I had breaks I would just walk out to the beach or down the strand 10 mins to restaurants and bars. The unit is clean and has a good layout. Not a lot of natural light from inside but being so close to the beach...just walk out your door anytime when you need sun and fresh ocean air! Julio was very responsive to any support I needed. The only issue was the TV in the bedroom broke down and didn't work all week but the main TV in the living area was good. I highly recommend if you want something close to the beach and things to do in Newport. Not glamorous but clean, safe and comfortable.

Someone came in our apartment during our stay

Property is dirty and very outdated! If you plan on cooking don’t stay here! Very limited cookware and only 2 forks! Stained towels, one wash cloth, no cleaning supplies. When we arrived there was a dirty used ball cap hanging on a hat rack. A couple days later it was gone! So that means someone came in and got it while we were out! Not cool! The location is awesome!

Communication: Excellent and speedy Location: Amazing! Could use updates to the property as there is rust in a few places, but it was clean and very convenient. No A/C, but otherwise, no complaints.

Great location

This is the ideal spot if you are traveling to Newport. It is right on the boardwalk and only a short walk to Newport Pier,where there are many restaurants and shops. Only a little over a mile walk the other way to the Fun Zone. Gread location !!! However, we have found on our last 2 visits that things haven't been replenished or replaced. For example, the towels were stained as well as the bedspread. There was only 1 dish towel. All the faucets leaked. I don't think we'll be back to this property.

Location!

You can’t beat this location where you can watch the ocean waves from the kitchen/loving room window and listen to the waves as you sleep. The bed was comfortable and the entire apartment is adorable. It comes equipped with extra trash bags, and stuff to do the dishes. It even has two beach chairs and beach towels! The washer and dryer was definitely an added perk as was the covered parking. A must for any couple!

Location location location!

I had a great stay here and everything was great! Beautiful Newport Beach! I appreciate having a parking spot which was great! Bed was very comfortable and cozy. The only thing I could suggest is providing basic items like shampoo and bath soap. Not a big deal. Everything else was great! Julio was a great host! Thanks again!

Beautiful Location

We loved the location. Kitchen was infested with bugs. TV in bedroom did not work. AC did not work. Bathroom needs updating. Easy beach access. We loved the location and proximity to the beach.

The slider on the back door is broken. There’s a few screens that were broken. The back sliding door does not lock you have to use a broom handle the upstairs people very noisy much-needed updates pots and pans were very bad no can opener no dish towels. It was very mildewy, moldy smelling Just needs good good cleaning and lots and lots of updating When we got there the TVs did not work called property manager, who was awesome came right out and replaced the spectrum boxes from an upstairs unit. He did a very good job keeping in touch with us throughout the initial process. I’m very impressed. Nice guy thank you.

Relaxing Start to an Extended Stay in So. Cal.

Our first stop on our extended vacation was Julio's place right next to the beach. With the open door a breeze of fresh ocean air swept through the little apartment. When the doors and windows were closed it was relatively quite. Many people who passed by were friendly and respectful. Though the weekends can get a little exciting, it was nice to hear people laughing and having fun. The walks along the boardwalk to get ice cream and the beach to collect shells was by far the best. My only suggestion is not to get frustrated by the internet connect (if you have verizon). It is not Julio's fault for spotty internet, it's verizon's lack of service in the area or too many sharing the same cell towers. The futon is actually comfortable. We left it open and used it as a big chair with pillows and blankets. We really appreciated the use of laundry supplies and the machines to clean our clothes and the towels we used in the apartment.
