This charming annex, forming part of the main farmhouse, is set within its own vineyard and grounds creating a truly unique and romantic atmosphere with birds of prey, deer, foxes and hares seen regularly. For couples seeking activities, Rosliston Forestry Centre (3 miles) provides scenic trails, birdwatching opportunities, and cosy picnic spots. Lovers of the outdoors are spoiled with walking and cycling trails, while adventure-seekers can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, and tubing at Swadlincote Snow-sports Centre (3 miles) or explore the larger Tamworth Snowdome (16 miles) for an even wider range of winter sports. The area is surrounded by welcoming pubs and restaurants, offering the perfect setting for couples to relax and unwind, while nearby retail parks and a local train station provide convenient shopping and transport options. For animal lovers, Twycross Zoo (8 miles) is a great day out, while history enthusiasts can explore the National Memorial Arboretum (9 miles) and Calke Abbey (8 miles). This enchanting annex, part of a grade II listed property dating from 1774 was originally built for the Rev Thomas Gresley as a pastoral escape from the formalities of his main residence at Netherseal Hall. Arrive through the elegant Ogive arch-shaped door, a design style that continues throughout the home, leading into the open-plan lounge. Here, you'll find an inviting space with an electric coal effect fire, plush sofa bed, and modern conveniences, including a Smart TV and Alexa to play your favourite tunes. Adding to the cottage’s unique character, a steep staircase, true to the home’s historic nature, leads down from the lounge into a charming open wine cellar, perfect for storing and savouring your favourite bottles. After a day of exploring, head upstairs to unwind in the super king-size bed with luxurious bedding, surrounded by superb interior design and the original 1774 pull out bed hidden in the wall (no longer in use).
