About this property
Woolcombers - One Bedroom House, Sleeps 2
Filled to the brim with eclectic charm, this hidden hideaway offers space for any couple to escape and enjoy Yorkshire Dales adventures from the edge of Ilkley Moor. The property is located on the owner’s farmland, with ample walks right on its doorstep, including the option to walk 1 mile across open fields to Ilkley. Ilkley Moor is an enviable destination for walking, home to plenty of rock-climbing crags, including the Cow & Calf Rocks (5 miles) and the picturesque scenery of Ilkley Tarn (4 miles). The beautiful Bolton Abbey is just 6.5 miles away. At the centre of Ilkley town, you’ll find the River Wharfe, a pretty riverside park, a summer lido, and plenty of pubs and eateries, including the renowned Betty’s Tearoom. A little further away, discover the equally intriguing town of Otley (10.5 miles), which offers a weekly market, quality fish and chip shops, and incredible walking opportunities on The Chevin (10 miles).
This former 18th-century woolcombers' shop has been thoughtfully and lovingly transformed into a sophisticated space for two. The property exudes warmth and comfort, complete with characterful design features and cosy elements throughout. Step inside to find everything you could need at your fingertips in the open-plan living space. On one side of the room, a lounge area features comfortable seating, a wood burner, and a Smart TV. There’s a bespoke dining table for two set beneath the TV, creating a space to sit and enjoy quality time together. The kitchen is tucked away under the mezzanine floor, with bespoke wooden fixtures providing everything you need to rustle up something tasty. To access the bedroom, take the ladder up to the mezzanine level, where you’ll find the double bed, set beneath a skylight and topped with cosy, fluffy blankets. This restful space is made for uninterrupted nights of sleep. Back downstairs, step into the invigorating shower room, with attractive tiling and a modern design.
Directly outside the property, a pretty garden spot provides a grassy lawn and pebbled patio for enjoying all outdoor activities. A bistro set with a table and two chairs invites you to admire the scenery while sipping a drink and soaking up the fresh air.
