About this property

Edinburgh House, Aldeburgh

Edinburgh House is a stunning Victorian seaside retreat located on the sought-after Craig Path in Aldeburgh, just moments from the RNLI lifeboat station and with the beach right on your doorstep. With sea views throughout the property, this home offers the perfect coastal escape.

The property offers four bedrooms, including a master bedroom with an en-suite, a second double bedroom with an en-suite, a third bedroom with twin beds and a fourth bedroom with bunk beds. The family bathroom features stylish honeycomb tiles. Outside, a private sitting area framed by generous shrubs provides a perfect spot for alfresco dining.

Edinburgh House has a rich history, once believed to have been a private casino frequented by the Duke of Edinburgh in the 1870s, who was a regular visitor to Aldeburgh due to his love for sailing. The property also has strong literary connections, having once been owned by the renowned crime author Ruth Rendell. Her famous works, including 'No Night is Too Long', are said to have been inspired by the surrounding area, with the nearby house in the novel being based on a neighbouring property.
