My two biggest "issues" are purely personal. Ground floor is the only way to go for the price and then the price. Only two "issues". If you want chilled out beach vacation the answer is yes.

Our only huge downfall was it said it slept six but the pullout couch was the most awful thing ever. We end up having to go buy an air mattress. We arrived early knowing the condo probably would not be ready but just to enjoy the beach longer; however we were pleasantly surprised to find we could check in early. Our overall experience was great; would definitely recommend to friends.

Great Location, Least Favorite Unit
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've been to Destin five times, and the only complex we have stayed at is Coral Reef. The main reasons why we keep coming back to Coral Reef are because we want the beach to be our backyard, and the number of units is small, so everyone has a great spot on the beach. There are two units we really enjoyed staying in, but they were booked, so we decided to try number 13. Decor was very cute. Cleanliness of unit needs improvement- floor was dirty, we couldn't locate a vacuum or dust pan, and there was hair on an end table, on a toilet, and in the shower. The shower was terrible- water wouldn't drain properly, so water would collect in the bottom of the tub as you were taking a shower. The tub needs a complete remodel, as there were buldging tiles around the faucet. We will stay at Coral Reef again, but we'll stick with the units we know are taken care of by the owners.

Reviewer Comments: This was our 3rd stay at the Coral Reef, as always it's has great views, nice condo, updated appliances and not overpriced. But omgosh the mattress this year was awful...I complained but was treated by one of the ladies at the front desk as if "I just needed to get over it". Other years the front desk ladies have been wonderful. My husband slept on the couch 2 nights and we left a day early because of it. If you're thinking of stay in #13 you should ask if the mattress has been replaced.

My family has been staying at the CRC for 7 years, my husband & I got married here in 2015 & our wedding party stayed here as well. We love the size, location, & accommodating staff. We recently visited in July of 2020 & I can’t say we had the best experience—unlike those years in the past. We were told we would be able to check in early & not only did that not happen but we checked in a little after 4 due to unforeseen water leakage. All week we had a large humidifier & fan that took up so much space in our master bath making it pretty much useless since we were told that it needed to stay on all week to help with water damage. Towards the end of the week I got a phone call from the staff asking if it would be alright if our condo was worked on while we were staying there due to an approaching closing date that this condo was under contract. Not only did I not want to deal with strangers in my condo during my vacation but also I felt pressured to make a decision that was not my problem. The workers were kind but of course the timing was either right when my son woke up from his nap or during the getting ready for dinner hours. After being pressured to allow the workers to come to our condo, we were then questioned on what time we would be departing Saturday & if that would be before 10am checkout time. It was very unprofessional & quite frankly rude. The condo itself was not the cleanest, we noticed a lot of mold in the shower & grout. The couch felt moist due to the material & the mattress in the master bedroom had a large hump in the middle—clearly needing to be replaced. We really want to come back to the CRC but after discussing this past trip we are uncertain.
