• Features unique mezzanine 2nd living area
• Bathroom has tub with shower overhead and separate WC

THE APARTMENT
The first floor in a whitewashed house on an attractive tree-lined street is the location of this 1-bedroom apartment that cleverly uses every inch of available space to deliver a smart and comfortable place for up to four guests to stay.
Take the few steps up to the front door from street level and then the flight of stairs to the first floor, and you’ll discover an apartment that’s been renovated throughout to provide a contemporary living space that affords you plenty of life’s little luxuries.
THE BEDROOM
The bedroom is immediately to the left as you enter the apartment, a double bed with storage space in its drawers underneath and a comfy armchair facing the window. On the far side of the bed, mirrored wardrobes provide yet more space for your clothing and bags, plus somewhere you can adjust your attire to ensure you look your best when you head out into London.
THE LIVING ROOM, KITCHEN & DINING AREA
As with every room in the property, this is a beautifully presented space with twin white sofas facing each other either side of a coffee table by the room’s large window.
There’s a quality four-seater dining table next to these sofas, the ideal space to sit and work, play games and, of course, enjoy any snacks and meals you prepare in the kitchen.
That’s located right next to the dining table under the mezzanine. It’s galley style and home to some plush cabinets and high-end appliances. Among those, a washer/dryer, handy if you’re planning a longer-term stay, plus a dishwasher, cooker and stovetop. And what’s this at the far end of the kitchen? A little window that looks into the bedroom at the front of the house, a unique feature that could come in useful if you need to wake someone up to tell them breakfast’s ready.
THE MEZZANINE LEVEL
A staircase from the main reception room leads you to a separate mezzanine level. This space features a sofa and a TV, making it the perfect spot to relax or unwind.
THE BATHROOM AND WC
There’s a cloakroom with WC and washbasin that’s separate from the main bathroom. That space has tiled walls and flooring with a tub at the far end which has a shower overhead, and a second wash basin to your right, with cupboard storage space underneath, and a large mirror above.
THE LOCAL AREA
A quick look on a map will show you how close this apartment is to Kensington Palace, the official London residence of the Prince and Princess of Wales.
Although you’re unlikely to see royalty during your stay (the Prince and Princess tend to spend more time at their Windsor home these days) you will be staying in one of the finest areas of the capital, with quality residences, boutique shops and high-class restaurants all around you.
Kensington High Street is just to the south (5 mins walk), Hyde Park to the east (10 mins), Holland Park to the west (15 mins), and Notting Hill (25 mins) to the north, all popular areas of the capital and well worth exploring.
Other London attractions nearby include:
The Royal Albert Hall (1 mile)
The Museums (1.4 miles)
Oxford Street (3.2 miles)
GETTING AROUND
So much of London is walkable from the apartment, that you may find you don’t need to use any kind of transport during your time here.
But if you’re planning to venture further afield to see more of what this great city has to offer, head to the London Underground.
Notting Hill Gate (0.4 miles) and High Street Kensington (0.5 miles) are the two nearest stations. They are both served by District and Circle line trains, so you’ll be directly connected to Paddington (for the Heathrow Express) and to Victoria (for the Gatwick Express).
Notting Hill Gate has the added advantage of being on the Central Line as well. That means you can catch trains to Bond St, Oxford Circus and Tottenham Court Road (all excellent shopping destinations close to London’s Theatreland). And the line extends east into the City of London and out into Essex beyond.
If you’d rather stay above ground, no problem. There are bus services, taxis and Ubers available which, between them, will be able to take to whichever part of London is next on your ‘must visit’ list.
