Glamping tent in a banana plantation

Nestled in a lush banana plantation, our lovely glampining bell tent, blends Bali with Madeiran charm, creating a unique and relaxing retreat. It is ideal for an unforgettable and romantic travel experience while on Madeira.

From your tent you have direct ocean views and you also can see the lush greens of the banana plantation.

Enjoy your private outside bathroom with sink, toilet, pebbled stone floor and a complete outside shower. See only the stars above your head while having a shower.

There is also a small outside seating area with two chairs and a coffee table, where you can enjoy a book, plan your next hike, watch the beautiful nature that surrounds you or simply relax and listen to birds.

We are ideally located on the sunny south side of Madeira, just a few minutes to the villages of Ponta do Sol and Ribeira Brava as well as one of the most famous levada hikes, the Levada Nova which leads behind a waterfall. The capital Funchal is just 15 minutes by car and the airport can be reached within 40 minutes. You can also walk to a pebbled / sand beach in 15 minutes directly from us or reach it with your car / taxi in 5 minutes. Plenty of good restaurants are close by, as well as a few local bars to enjoy your morning coffee and maybe have a Madeiran breakfast.

Please note: We are a "non-smoking" resort and please be aware that we have a "no- shoes" policy in our tent and in our outside bathroom. As we are not directly on the road, you need to walk 50m through the banana plantation with easy to climb stairs. Therefore, please travel light with a rucksack or small trolley only and with suitable shoes. We recommend renting a car as the local busses are infrequent and stop early. You can park on the road free of charge. We have two friendly cats, and a visiting neighbour's cat too, and they all like to say hello from time to time. Should you have any questions? No heating provided, but average nightly temperature in spring / autumn is 15+ C and in summer above 18 C. On request, we can offer an additional blanket.
