Step inside this outstanding beachfront time capsule lovingly cared for by same family for 60+ years. Located on Gearhart's popular "Gin Ridge!" Watch the sunset from the beautiful wrap around back porch with private path down to beach. Cozy up to the wood burning fireplace. Great open floor plan with formal dining room. Rainy day? Lounge in the comfortable sunroom and admire the gorgeous views and peaceful atmosphere. Huge master bedroom with jack and jill attached bathroom to corner room with twin beds. Bunk room great for young kids. 4th bedroom with full sized bed and last but not least, 5th bedroom with attached shared bathroom. Spectacular beach views from master and 5th bedroom. Parking allows for 5 cars. Super retro pink kitchen, a must see!

Family beach getaway

The Best of Gearhart

Great beach home! From its unbeatable ocean view to the historic feel of the house. Plenty of room and enjoyable quirkiness of days gone by. Loved the stove! Loved watching the skies at night and early morning from the master bedroom window. Walking distance to coffee and a great deli. Melody was so nice to us, it was just an all around good time.

Very Nice

We had a great time at this lovely and somewhat funky house. The size was perfect for our gathering with enough space for people to spread out and to gather together. The hosts were responsive and very nice and I would be more than happy to deal with them and stay here again. To make the place even better, I would suggest adding some new comfortable furniture - or just some new slipcovers and pillows here and there. We all really enjoyed the view! Thank you for sharing your house!

Fabulous family weekend

Our adult sons along with their wives and our grandchildren had a great weekend stay at Marcia’s home in Gearhart. The home is quaint, had plenty of space for meals for all 7 adults, 2 highchair babies and our 3 year old granddaughter. The 3 year old enjoyed the toys in the cupboard and although it rained the whole weekend we were there to just enjoy each other’s company and play games so it all worked out great. All beds were very comfortable, the house was very clean and the shower heads great with plenty of hot water for everyone and nice tub time for the babies. We took advantage of the Weber bbq and having that available for use. Hopefully next time we stay here we can use the bikes provided for a sunny ride about town! We would definitely stay there again! Thank you Marcia for being a great hostess!!

The location to the beach was wonderful

Our family loved the location. We enjoyed the fireplace and big windows that brought in the light and allowed us to take in the view. Plenty of beds for the big group.

A perfect place for a family holiday

This was our fifth stay at Marcia's Gearhart house, so obviously we think very highly of it. The house is very comfortable with lots of character, and the lovely Gearhart beach (with no cars allowed) is just a short walk across the dunes. Marcia is a pleasure to deal with.

Ocean Property

Large home that easily fits 10. Beautiful view and lovely sun room to sit and view the ocean. Nice path to ocean, about a 5 minute walk to beach with many shells. Antique oven and kitchen.

Historic Home Beachfront & Relaxing Ocean Waves

This historic home was delightful, and even though “outdated” a bit, this did not diminish the overall coziness of the stay at the beach and even added to it because you could feel the history of this home and likely 100’s of memories that leave a legacy. We enjoyed the wood-burning fireplace in the living room and especially the sunroom and back deck that overlooks the Gearheart beach. The walk to the beach was not extensive, but also not just steps away. The route I would suggest taking to the beach is to take the small trail off the back deck about half way and then cut over to one of the neighboring paths that are a little bit wider and better maintained.

Wonderful Gearhart beach home

Our family had a great time at this beautifully located home. The home has a large living room, and a wonderful indoor and outdoor patio that we used often so we could enjoy the scenery and ocean view. The home has a vintage look and with five bedrooms and two plus bathrooms it gave our family plenty of room. Thank you to the owner for your help and kindness.

Family getaway

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were serven adults with one infant, and had plenty of room for sleeping, sitting, and preparing meals. The home was quiet and allowed for the baby to sleep without the adults disturbing him. We walked the surrounding neighborhood as well as the beaches daily. The highlight is the view!!

Great family house

Great older house and an awesome location. With the rustic charm of the original kitchen and other highlights. This house had space for everybody, and sitting on the back deck was a vacation in itself.

Such a fun house! We had a great time! For August, it was so peaceful and un-crouded versus Cannon Beach. After reading previous reviews were were worried about the kitchen/usable appliances etc. and brought some kitchen gear. But everything worked fine, there were plenty of useful appliances, and we cooked several of our meals at the house without unpacking those items. Host also had bikes, so the kiddos went on rides up and down the neighborhood.

I wish we didn’t have to leave!

We had a great time here! Lots of early morning beach combing and late night walks on the beach. Close to seaside but far enough that it’s not crowded. We can’t wait to schedule our next visit!

Amazing weekend.

This place was great, just what we were looking for for a weekend at the beach. The house has a lot of character and quirks about it, which made for some great conversations. The check-in/check-out process was super easy which made it all the better. The path to the beach was a little longer than initially anticipated, but we made the best of it and had an awesome time. Thank you for hosting us!!

Wonderful Beach House

We enjoyed our week in Gearhart very much and Marcia’s home was perfect for our needs. It is quiet, has a 50’s vibe with older (but functional and well maintained) appliances in the Pink Kitchen and it is only a short walk to the Beach and Town. The large sunroom is perfect for watching spectacular sunsets and the occasional group of Elk that love chomping on the greenery between the House and the Beach. We love Gearhart and plan on renting this Beach House again.
