Whether you are looking for family time, a romantic getaway, a guys or ladies get out of town or just time by yourself, you have found your new retreat. Less than a mile to town, you will find why Bemus Point is the hottest place to be on Chautauqua Lake. The shops, restaurants, brewery, golf course all with awesome views of the lake. Looking for night life...Enjoy it at The Ellicottville Brewing Company or EBC, The Fish previously known as The Italian Fisherman, Village Casino or The See-Zurh House. Yes, all within a mile away! Several other stores downtown (not in pictures) including misc Quaint shopping storefronts, Pizza shop, Wine store, Gas station, Post Office and more.

Parking? You will love it! Easy on property parking for many. Ample space to park your trailer for boats/jet skis/snowmobiles etc.
Lastly...Use of dock is included in this rental. But, if you are looking to dock your boat to the dock during your stay, there will be a small additional charge for that amenity. Some have said that this dock may be the nicest "privately owned" dock on the lake. **PLEASE NOTE: Dock stays in lake long as we can leave it, but comes out of lake prepping for winter.

Enjoyable Spring break getaway

Upon arrival, we were surprised that we would be responsible for completely cleaning the property after our stay. This included changing bed sheets, scrubbing toilets and showers, and sweeping the back deck of environmental debris. I will know to ask these questions next time I rent a house now but these details would have greatly been appreciated in the online listing. The location and cottage itself was great. The sunroom was our favorite part and we spent most of our time there. Communication with the owner prior to and during our rental time was also great.

The cottage was beautiful! Nice view from the back room area. Super clean! Was perfect for my husband, children, and doggies for our short trip. Communication was great! Tons of Room!

A very well appointed place. Our host was most accommodating! Any question or concern I had was immediately addressed, either by our host or his neighbor. Literal steps from the lake, this cabin included a lovely sun room. It had multiple sofas and chairs and a dining table, an absolutely perfect place for families to gather, while experiencing an unobstructed lake view!This was ideal for a 5 woman getaway!Thank you, Scott, for a lovely weekend.

The Big Snow

The house was just as advertised. Clean, beautiful view, very quaint. I’m looking forward to Spring for a short stay. Although the weather was bad, it was still a pleasant experience. Scott should teach a few people about customer service, he actually called instead of texting. very personable.

Exactly what we needed

After a lot of loss and tragedy, this was the perfect peaceful getaway our family needed! Scott, the host, was particularly hospitable and we had everything we needed, including great windows with a great view. Just be sure to bring tin foil, baggies, condiments, and a smile! They had everything else for supplies and needs, including laundry detergent and dryer sheets :)! We would love to come back and even possibly make this our new family tradition….because it is a beautiful home and location…and this time of year was gorgeous with the leaves! We found this little gem about six or seven years ago and fell in love with it. I call it our happy place! We love it so much that we stay here one or two weeks every year. So many memories have been made and more to be made. ❤️

The cottage is cute and cozy and has all the amenities one would need. While it was just the two of us for a 2 night stay, we didn't use most, but this cottage would be perfect for a week stay with the family. Perfect location, and great communication with owner.

Another Great Stay!

Second time staying here. Love the property and location! Short walk or drive to beautiful Bemus Point. Love the front sun room (really nice bonus to this home). Deck and dock are both great. Fire pit right on the shoreline is awesome. Parking is really accommodating to boat trailers as well as multiple vehicles. Phone call with Scott day before the trip was really unexpected and so thorough to help plan our trip and stay. Trust me, you will love staying here!

The Cottage itself was very nice. The location, although being on the water was different than I expected. The water was full of debris and weeds, and the bottom of the lake was mushy. The view of the highway to our right took away a bit of the ambience, but beyond that the property itself was very nice, Peaceful and well kept.

Boating vacation getaway

The property was just the right size with a beautiful sunroom and deck off the back. Close to town but in a quiet neighborhood. The boat launch was close and easy to find. Nice to have a bath and a half, but the shower in the half bath had no water pressure; truly the only negative.

Beautiful Lake View

We love to sit on the deck or the beautiful Florida room to gaze at the lake. So peaceful and calming. Whether it is a gorgeous day or the morning fog or the rain clouds. Only issue this year was construction on the bridge, exit was closed. Took a little more time to get to next exit and drive through town.

Very comfortable & nicely appointed!

The Peacemaker cottage is much more spacious & comfortable than portrayed in pictures! We spent many hours in the sunroom - it was a favorite gathering space for our group. The location was fantastic for exploring all areas of the lake. We especially enjoyed our meals at the Bemus Point Inn just down the road. Scott was one of the nicest hosts out of all of my VRBO stays. Thanks for your hospitality Scott!

Great Stay

Perfect cottage with everything you want and need for a great getaway at Chautauqua Lake. Stayed for a couple of days in February to enjoy a relaxing winter escape. Spent most of our time in the great sunroom with panoramic views of the lake with full sun and spectacular sunsets. Spacious cottage yet cozy and set up with all resources and well stocked everything you need for your stay (fresh towels, clean bedding, cooking utensils, etc.). Hope to come back in the summer to enjoy the outdoor deck, firepit and lake just a few feet from the back door. Cottage is updated, very clean and comfortable with plenty of living space and amenities. Pet friendly home very clean with plenty of yard space and walking area for pets. Highly recommend for couple getaways or family vacations. Great communication with host with easy check in and check out.

Anniversary Meet

The property upon arrival was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was nice with updated appliances, dishware and cooking utensils. The property also has a gem of a sunroom facing the lake that was the hit of the property. Albeit we were there in late October, the deck adjacent to the sunroom had plenty of seating and new furniture. I would recommend this property in a heartbeat.
