This charming lake front cabin has it all: amazing views, your own dock, fireplace, well-stocked kitchen, and a peaceful setting. Plus the owners added so many delightful details like little pinecones & greenery on window ledges or fun selection of games to make the stay homey. I almost forgot to mention the best feature of the place - the large porch facing the lake. It was everybody's favorite place.
The Lake House was absolutely Wonderful! It is so beautiful & so clean & inviting. It felt like we were in a movie. We would highly recommend staying here.
We absolutely loved our stay at this home. Just beautiful, very clean and had everything you could possibly need. Nothing negative to stay at all. And what an amazing view to look out at every day!
The perfect spot for a long weekend with my family. My wife and I along with 3 boys ages 10, 8 and 5. The location is perfect and the cottage is just steps from the water. They had all the water and yard toys ready to go and in great condition. The house was super clean and could not be a cuter more quintessential Tahoe cottage. Had a blast and can’t wait to come back again.
LOVED IT! The house and property have character, is clean, quality decor, interesting history and of course love the lake front. Nice neighbors and responsive owners.
We had a fantastic time!!!
My family stayed here for 4 nights for Thanksgiving holiday. The home is directly on the lake and has its own private pier! The back porch, we spent most of our time, enjoying the tranquility and beauty of Lake Tahoe! Our grandchildren loved having a real fireplace! The home is beautiful, warm and cozy! Owners were super nice! Can't wait to go back!!!!!
My family and I ( and our dog) stayed here October 17-19, 2023. The home was exactly as presented and had everything we could possibly need for our visit. The fully stocked kitchen made cooking a breeze! This large house was beautifully decorated had plenty of room to gather for group activities and meals and for time alone to nap, read or whatever. The beds are the coziest ! All this said, the front porch and dock/deck on the water is where we spent most of our time. Our dog Raya loved playing fetch both in the enclosed yard and in the water. The weather was spectacular and we enjoyed every moment on the lake. We met our hosts who were friendly yet fully respectful of our privacy. This is an amazing place and we thank you, Sheila- we hope to be back next year!
I feel so fortunate to have found this enchanted cottage on the lake! I was celebrating a birthday & friends, family & our beloved furry baby Rufus were all there with me! I hope to come back in the summer for the warmer weather.
The wonderful memories will always make me smile!

We loved it. Great part of the lake, not too crowded, but still lots of great restaurants nearby and a quick drive to Sandy Harbor. The house has everything you could want, from a full kitchen, to water toys, to gas grill, fireplace, board games, TV, it just goes on. Super great communication from the owners who are nearby. Great weekend, we'll be back!
This is an adorable log cabin filled with antiques but with all the modern amenities. Great kitchen and comfy beds. Lake views from every room. We spent a lot of time enjoying the expansive front porch and dock. We felt it was the perfect location for our little getaway. The hosts are extremely responsive and very nice. Can't wait to stay again!!
This was a beautiful lake front home in a great location. Owner was very communicative and easy to work with. It has great antiques and decor throughout the home. The Safeway was conveniently located less than a mile away. We loved the local restaurants for pizza and beer. The kids enjoyed watching ducks from the dock and trying to catch crayfish. All the of beds were super comfy, the kitchen was well stocked, and the internet/TV worked great. Would absolutely recommend this home!
My family and I experienced an extraordinary stay in this home which is unparalleled to other vacay rental experiences. Something about this experience felt more like staying at a family friend’s summer lakehouse versus a turnkey vacay rental set up. The home is historic and there are elements like the two fireplaces, a smaller gas stove one by the dining table and the large, stone wood burning one gracing the family room. There are some original pieces of furniture and rustic, natural wood surrounds you with a cozy and warm ambiance. I cook everyday and found everything I needed in the kitchen- even an instant pot for a quick batch of smoked black beans! The bedrooms were beautifully appointed and comfortable. I found myself doing double takes because the stunningly beautiful backdrop- the pier, lake , lawn and trees, were framed so well with the large windows. At the same time, modern comforts like various sound system options, auto regulated thermostat, wifi, heat lamp outside—- the feeling was that the owners were sharing a very special and beloved place with their guests. I couldn’t say enough about this home - from cooking to kayaking, seeing my fur baby frolic and enjoy with us— all my stress and worries were non existent here. Highly recommend- needless to say, I would return again.
The pictures almost capture the pure calm of this home on the lake. We knew we didn't want to plan a lot of activities. The intent of our trip was to just unwind and relax. There is much to do in this beautiful area but we found staying put to be very enjoyable. The back porch alone is worth the price! Sheila and Eric were very kind and helpful. The house itself is wonderful. Everything we needed was there. The history of the area and the home are very interesting. Take some time to read the coffee table book. We are already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you!
Everything was perfect. Tahoe is a very special place to our family. We've been visiting the lake for three generations so we greatly appreciated the homeowner's dedication to preserving the property's original character and sharing this important part of the lake's history. The house was so perfect we never needed to leave. All meals were cooked and enjoyed lakeside. We rented a boat within walking distance and enjoyed a day on the lake. We relaxed on the dock. Thank you Sheila!
This beautiful cabin is charming, comfortable, and very well equipped. Lakefront views are stunning. Location is very convenient to restaurants and grocery stores, yet secluded and private. Shelia and Eric were wonderful hosts who made sure that we had everything we needed for an amazing stay. We can't wait to return to this truly special place!
Have rented this property two years running and look forward to returning again! Beautiful setting on the lake, friendly hosts, and an ideal location for feeling completely removed from it all -- but can also get to the Safeway in less than 5 min. ;) What's not to love?!
We booked this property for a 50th wedding anniversary celebration six months in advance and the whole family was looking forward to it with great anticipation. Not only did it not disappoint, it exceeded our expectations! Check in and check out were easy, the hosts were friendly, the view and lake access were incomparable, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well appointed, and everywhere you look you see attention to detail and the love of its owners shining through. A joy and a delight! Would return in a heartbeat.
Beautiful property with wonderful lake access. Incredibly well-stocked kitchen made it easy to cook fantastic meals that we enjoyed on the deck overlooking the lake. Kind hosts responded immediately when the barbecue needed additional propane.
Plentiful towels and great to be able to use kayaks and paddle boards.
We loved our trip overall. The only drawback for us was being right next door to a boatyard/marina. We heard heavy equipment lifting boats off racks as early as 6am most days. Then, the equipment and boat traffic was present all day when reading on the dock.
