About this property

An extremely convenient oasis situated on 10 wooded acres with a country like setting only 5 minutes to downtown Eau Claire; Phoenix Park, Pablo Center, River walk and more! Welcome guests who enjoy a low key relaxing and quiet environment complete with wildlife wandering by.

Biking / walking trail just minutes from our house.
Three miles from Riverview Park on the Chippewa River with public river access.
Just minutes from Mayo, Oak Leaf, Sacred Heart Hospitals and Dove Health Care.

Enjoy cooking in a fully stocked kitchen complete with a Keurig or traditional coffee maker, coffee grinder, tea pot, slow cooker, mixer, blender, dutch oven and much more! Stocked with K-pods and tea to start your first morning!

Guests will enjoy large high end towels. We have shampoo, conditioner and bar soap available as well. A First Aid Kit is located in the linen closet.

Our laundry area is located in the basement with scent free laundry detergent available to our guests. Check out the amenities for details.

Parents, children are welcome; however please review the space for a good fit. Indicate the age or ages and let us know you’ve read and agreed the space is suitable.
We feel your child requires an enjoyable stay even on a rain filled day. Our place has no designated play area. Children must be supervised at all times inside and outside.
We are only licensed for 5 guests including children.

A smoke free, insense free, vaping free house. Smokers area outside with a metal sand filled bucket for discarded butts.

No fire pits or grills of any kind.
House rules/check out (before 11:00 a.m.) policies are posted inside for our guests convenience.

Quiet little get away

My sister and I stayed here. We LOVED the place. It had everything we needed and we loved the quiet wooded setting. Yet we were close to everything we wanted to do in the Eau Claire and Chippewa Valley area. Highly recommended!!

Great place!

This house is emaculate and well appointed. Everything from the kitchen equipment to the towels and linens is top notch. The setting is quite and serene. We watched wild turkeys walking around almost every day. The house is situated at the end of a lane with no neighboring houses. The hosts are attentive and easy to communicate with. Overall an A++ rating.

Scenic and relaxing

We enjoyed our visit very much. It is the third time we’ve stayed at this lovely home in the woods. It is a getaway in the middle of town. Very convenient to all of Eau Claire. The hosts have clear instructions and are very generous to us “returnees” as we visit our son. I could not recommend this property more.

Lovely

My daughters and I stayed here for a second time because we enjoyed ourselves so much the first time. It was just as lovely, cozy, clean and comfortable as the first time. Very organized too. Paul and Anita are wonderful hosts. We hope to come again next year.

Perfect Girls Weekend

Great wooded retreat!

Very clean, tastefully decorated and very secluded even though you are basically in town. Saw turkey and deer wondering around. The hosts were quite friendly and easily reachable if you needed them for any reason. Will be staying there again.

Like home

We stayed here to accommodate MIL vs a hotel. My husband is extremely picky and he could not say enough good things about this property. So close to everything, yet far enough away to enjoy the wildlife. We were greeted by 2 deer and the next morning 6 of them were hanging out next to the driveway!

Wonderful place

This is a lovely home on a beautiful property. It felt very secluded while still in a neighborhood. The kitchen was fully stocked with cookware, and I was able to cook! The hosts are very communicative and do a great job overall. Would stay again!

The home was laid out so well for us and had everything you could possibly need for a 3 day stay to relax and visit. We loved the quiet setting and even saw deer and a wild turkey near by while there. The hosts were excellent in keeping in touch.

Comfy cottage

This property was perfect for our family's situation. I came with my husband, teen son, adult daughter and her boyfriend. The bed setup was perfect and everything was just the right size for us. I loved the kitchen, especially when I had to spend the whole day cooking for my family reunion there. Having access to laundry was great for our week stay. Everything was organized so nicely and so clean. I couldn't believe we had so much woods surrounding us in the middle of Eau Claire! And to top it all off, there was a family of 7 deer that greeted us the 1st day and a turkey with her chicks in the front yard every morning! Just awesome!

Nice hideaway

Nice quiet location tucked into the woods with deer and turkey sightings out the window. Place was clean and provided all the necessary amenities. Plenty of room to relax and enjoy and also not far from stores, restaurants, parks, and city life.

Positive Experience - No issues

The property was nestled on back side of a private gravel road. The property interior was absolutely pristine and well taken care of. The property owners were fantastic - responsive and helpful.

Girls Weekend

As soon as we arrived we stumbled upon 8 deer in our backyard! This location is close to town but private enough to enjoy yourselves peacefully. The home is beautiful and cozy! The property managers are thoughtful and easy to communicate with. We enjoyed our weekend stay!

Great getaway

My family and I had a great time at this home. It's in the city but in a wooded area so it is very peaceful. The home was beautiful and comfy. We saw some wildlife outside tok! Would definitely recommend if you're needing a place in the area.

Cozy, Quiet, and Charming

We had a wonderful stay at this charming immaculate home. The beds are super comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked, and the living room furniture and view from the large window lends itself to just sit back and relax. The privacy, quietness, and lovely wooded location of the home is superb. Yet, we were only 5 minutes from restaurants and shopping. The owners were great about communicating with us. Check-in was a breeze. Thank you, thank you, thank you for a lovely stay. We’ll definitely be back.

It was a lovely place to have a getaway

My mom and I took a trip

I waited to spend my birthday with my daughter, son in law and grandkids. I decided to bring my mom so she could meet her great grandson, who turned 3 the 28th of October. I also wanted to take my mom because of the love I have for her and show her my appreciation for all she has done. I seen this cute house in the woods but close to town and thought why not. We loved it! It is beautiful inside and out. The home owners are very aware of what people need. Seen deer, turkeys and of course squirrels even seen some rabbits. Perfect mid sized property in beautiful, quiet location

My husband and I booked this property along with our daughter, her husband and baby for a weekend wedding. The house was the perfect size and was very convenient to the activities we had in the area. However, because of it's location in a quiet section of wooded space it did not feel like we were in the city and was quiet and gorgeous! The hosts were very responsive from the beginning of our booking through our stay, and their house was welcoming and had many extra touches. Would love to stay there again if we needed to be in the area!
