This one bed, one bath Mammoth Lakes, California retreat located in the Snowcreek community is excellent for a romantic getaway or the small family. Made cozy by its wooden finishings, this home sports the most charming decor - from its low-hanging chandelier in the dining room to a delightful stone fireplace that provides warmth and comfort during the winter months. The bedroom and living room are both equipped with flat-screen TVs for all your entertainment needs and wireless internet is also available for those on-the-go guests. The charming surrounding community of Snowcreek provides peace and quiet just minutes from town, with a spa and sauna also available to guests, and the Mammoth Creek running nearby.

Tree-filled views can be seen from almost every window and the mountains hover above this lovely community, truly providing you with the feeling of an escape. If all that's not enough, you're also just minutes from the convenience of the Vons Shopping Center and The Village entertainment. The Lakes Basin, where you'll find Horseshoe Lake, Lake Mary, and Twin Lakes, is just 15 minutes away. You can also catch the Red Line shuttle stop off of Minaret Road - a few feet away! Gem of a condo

We initially planned to be here at the condo for two nights unfortunately the weather had other plans . The blizzard came in and we had to leave a day early to avoid road closures . The condo is better than in the pictures . It's cozy but larger than it looked in pictures . Very clean . Everything worked well and had zero issues during our short stay . The only thing that could maybe be looked at is the pellet stove while running makes a clicking noise . The best thing about this place is the quality you get for the money . The price is the reason we booked and we hope the owners keep the prices like this . It's nice to have a place to go to for families like us that don't have ' Mammoth money ' we look forward to staying again .

Snowcreek

The condo was just as described and was a super comfortable place to stay. We would def. Stay there again. We did have some issues - the wood stove would not work - I mention this as the condo was cold but the management team and techs were super responsive and sorted the issue for us. This location was ideal for skiing as it was very close to the redline bus. Thanks, Sonia

couch in livingroom needs to be updated-very warned/sunked in/the material of couch is flimsy from usage. We covered the area where we sat with extra blankets from the closet. The carpet is also questionable of what has been tracked in. The bathroom was carpeted in the sink area floor and the toilet/tub area floor. That area smelled of urine soaked in the carpet. The decor and overall "wood-cabin" look was nice, however, very dusty. It is a pet-friendly condo, you can tell that many "odor-eliminating" products have been used. We both experienced nose sniffling, nose and eye irritation. We cut our vacation early, this really affected our romantic mood as well, as this was supposed to be our time away from work, city life, etc. . . a romantic getaway that became a miserable night time and could not wait to get out of the condo event. So sorry for this rating : (

Our “romantic overnight”

The carpet was filthy, there were dog P stains, whomever clean the table, chairs, benched, counter tops must have used the same cleaning cloth, there was a thin oily film covering these areas. The weather was cold and raining, which was expected and fine, but the only heater in the property was in the bedroom. There was some type of heater in the living room, but there were no directions on how to use it. There was a portable electric space heater, with a broken leg, which provided zero heat. The dishes were clean. We assumed this to be best suited for a younger party group, a group that came up for a weekend of skying or hiking. There was certainly nothing to support the claim of the “romantic get-away”. Spend a few dollars and clean the carpets. Yes, there numbers available to call in people to fix things. Exactly what we wanted, spending an evening chasing people to come clean and heat the property. We paid for 2 nights, arrived late in the afternoon for check-in and left early the following morning and did not bother asking for a refund. Is this the review you’ve been bugging me for?

A week in Mammoth

The location in Snow Creek was great. The broken refrigerator was a problem but they put in a minifridge and gave us a small refund. The only other minor issue is the unit is pretty dark and there isn't enough lighting. The managers were very responsive and helped with the refrigerator issue and communicating with the owner. We loved being a few steps from the meadow, which was in beautiful bloom despite being late in the seaon,

We were originally planning to camp in the Reds Meadow Valley but the campgrounds were not open yet. We found this place in VRBO and chose it because it was pet friendly. We were pleasantly surprised at the location and amenities.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. Checking in was a piece of cake with no issues. The unit was clean and very comfortable to relax and unwind after a long day hiking. The communication with the property managers was second to none. They were very helpful in accommodating us with our requests during our stay. We are planning to come back and stay again very soon. Pet Hotel

I have lived and worked in Mammoth my daughter was born there and I have owned several properties (two homes and two condos over 20 years-I currently do not own any property in Mono County hence the need to rent) this property is not up to snuff for the price charged. It is admittedly “pet friendly” but that does not mean the condo does not have to be well maintained and has a get out of jail free card for being just plain dirty and long in the tooth. The Unit had been remodeled years ago and probably was very nice at one time, but the carpet is filthy (old) and worn-so was the furniture and I had to contact the property manager to have further cleaning done when I got there. They did the best they could. The furniture had not been moved and cleaned and I found trash and dirt behind everything as well as heavy dust on the ceiling fans. The bathroom shower needs to be regrouted and the light fixtures are very old. That being said, it is not the cleaning company’s fault it’s the owners fault for not paying for a deep cleaning or to pay extra to have it cleaned right since it is pet friendly. Occasionally furniture should be upgraded. There is furniture resistant to pet use. I note that I was charged extra for a pet but apparently this charge does not go to pay for extra cleaning after each guest- carpet cleaning etc. I know what vendors in Mammoth charge for these services and it’s not prohibitive. It appears the unit is popular and folks don’t seem to mind the condition of this Unit. I do and will not be a repeat customer. I rented the downstairs unit last year and it was much better. I am sorry to report but I was very disappointed in this Unit.

Lovely Well Appointed Condo

My friend and I had an amazing time. This condo is conveniently located next to the meadow. All the bells and whistles, spacious, clean and cozy. Property manager was communicative, condo is well maintained. Our only regret is that we weren't able to stay longer! We had an amazing time and will definitely book again.

Awesome unit

Very clean, dog friendly (as long as your dogs do okay with stairs because it’s an upstairs unit) and in a really nice community. Right next to trails and a creek.

Nice stay

The condo was clean, thoughtfully supplied, very beautiful grounds, perfect for our get away. We did have one issue with Nomadness rental person when we arrived and couldn’t get in at 3pm we called # and the person informed us that checkin was 4pm and would not allow us in and was rude about it on top of the misunderstanding, so we sat at the top of the stairs with all our stuff waiting waiting waiting. Luckily a complex manager walked by and allowed us entry which is the only reason I give management a 5 star because of this guy’s customer service! Nomadness get 0 customer service and the woman on the phone shouldn’t be working for the company. Thank you for such a nice rental and keeping your place up. We will stay at this place again

Winter wonderland but cleanliness was hugely lacking

The location was great, but the property was not cleaned up to COVID protocol standard. Dirty towels in the washing machine from the previous stay. Clothes in the bedroom drawers from the previous stay. Blond hairs on the blankets in the linen closet. We had fun Bc it’s Mammoth, of course, but we were very uncomfortable sitting on the couch or using the bed Bc it was very clear the area had not been sanitized the way we expected from VRBO’s cleaning policy. When I called the Rental Management company they merely said useless words like sorry but their was no action or extremely delayed action to our needs. When I called the morning after we arrived and asked for the clothes in the drawers to be removed and drawers sanitized so we could unpack, I was shocked to hear them say something that truly sounded like, Sorry, but well you have to wait! Lol. Isn’t the rental supposed to be clean BEFORE we arrive??? Suffice it to say, we vacuumed the living room floor area, used Clorox wipes in the kitchen and slept on the floor the remainder of our stay. The management did not even offer that housekeeping be sent to clean the cabin so that we could be at peace. We did however enjoy Snowcreek, it’s gorgeous, found parking right next to our rental. The rental was spacious and well stocked. The decor was cute and cozy. Our dog, Casper loved the fireplace area and was quite content. I do not want to deter any of you to not rent this property. I merely had to write about the lack of sanitation for any future guests. Hopefully the team managing this property will do a better job of cleaning up before a new guest arrives.
