Torre del Saraceno is located in the beautiful village of Santa Maria Annunziata part of the town of Massa Lubrense and has a breathtaking view of the island of Capri and the surrounding Gulf of Naples.

The area where this villa is located is the most authentic part of the Sorrentine peninsula, where villages dot its rocky coasts and cliffs, and peace and quiet is found all year round.

You will be only 10 km away from the magnificent town of Sorrento, and within reasonable distance of such historic and cultural sites such as Pompeii, Herculaneum, Capri, and Naples, where you can explore the ancient culture and architecture. You'll also be only 18 kms away from the divine Amalfi Coast.

The villa offers stunning views from its panoramic terraces, spacious roof, and relaxing outdoor Jacuzzi.

This charming villa is built over four floors. On the entrance floor you willl find a spacious living room with a warm fireplace, TV, a DVD player, and internet access router mobile 4G (the connection might be not always fast due to the area and the thick walls).

Going down to the lower floor, there is a large and open kitchen which is fully equipped with all the necessary amenities for delicious al fresco meals. Here, there is also a second living room, along with a complete bathroom.

On the first floor, there is a double bedroom with TV and its own ensuite bathroom with a Jacuzzi and shower. There is a second double bedroom, also with TV and its own ensuite bathroom with a Jacuzzi, bathtub, and shower.

The air-conditioning is available in the two bedrooms (portable air conditioners).

Moving up to the second floor, there is a panoramic roof terrace with a spectacular view of the island of Capri. This marvelous terrace is also equipped with sofas and a table, along with an outdoor shower.

This stunning villa is perfect for guests who want to spend a wonderful holiday near Sorrento while enjoying breathtaking views of the island of Capri.

Torre del Saraceno is located in a small village on hilltop overlooking the majesty of the view over Capri e the Bay of Naples, at only 10 Km from Sorrento Town.
This fantastic area offers a wide range of services, it is well connected to other tourist resorts in the area such as: the Amalfi coast, the archaeological sites of Pompeii and Herculaneum, Capri, Naples, that can be reached by train, bus or ferry.

Spectaculair view but the tower turned out to be a disappointment...

The view is phenomenal and it is super special that the entire tower is your own, but: the jacuzzi on the roof was leaking and so we could not use it. In addition, we are used to always having some coffee/tea or a bottle of water ready so that you don't have to rush to the supermarket upon arrival, but there was nothing at all... It's clean, but kitchen and bathrooms are dated; it could definitely use a good makeover. Finally: we didn't have very good weather, there's nothing anyone can do about it, but wind and rain came through the windows! We were so cold inside! We even left a day earlier because of that...

Esperienza Torre dei Saraceni

Locations straordinaria accompagnata dal fascino di vivere per qualche giorno all'interno di una Torre. L'ambiente interno è funzionale, cucina e camere risultano ben arredate ed i bagni nuovi e puliti. Probabilmente solo gli arredi esterni risultano un po datati e necessiterebbero di una sostituzione. Eccellente il supporto e la disponibilità del Sig. Guido e della Sig.ra Veronica nel "coccolare" gli ospiti per le diverse esigenze.

A breathtaking piece of Italy in a sleepy little village

The Tower is an amazing and unique property and was a highlight of our stay. We were on the roof top deck every morning and every evening. The view never gets old. The property itself is very comfortable and well appointed but be prepared for the stairs! You will use them a lot. This wasn't a problem but something to prepare for. It is a 20 minute drive to downtown Sorrento and the driving is not easy. The restaurant across the street is excellent but it is the only business in walking distance of the Tower. You will want to stock up on supplies and food before arriving. You can find a decent selection of food and a pharmacy in the Massa Lubrense town center. The property itself is very nice. Our only real gripe was the the internet. We were provided a cell hot spot that had very limited range and capacity. We needed to carry it to the roof to make it work well. It appears that the house had a more robust internet setup at some other time. The air conditioning was great (it was very hot when we were there) and the house is very comfortable. The address given on the website is not the address of the tower. GPS systems are very challenged to find the un-named street that the Tower is on. Le Torre Restaurant is a better destination but the GPS only gets close to that. The owner will meet you in the Massa Lubrense City center which makes it easier. We somehow missed that point and got lost.

The view is to die for, but the furnishings and equipment was old, worn, broken or missing. This was such a shame, especially as looking through the visitor book this was highlighted back in 2016 as well so nothing has changed

Wonderfull, but refurbishment needed

Lovely view from terrace and bedrooms. Expensive equipment. Nice and quiet location away from hotspots. Easy parking. Wonderfull restaurant beneath. Very clean. But the fly screens and the table on the terrace is damaged. The sun umbrella is pretty old and because of the wind useless. That doesn't really fit to the luxurious standard. There are 79 steps from the kitchen to the rooftop, the elevator didn't work, the whirlpool is in the (mosquito) garden instead of the rooftop and the rooms are a little bit musty...

Fabulous view in Massa Lubrense!

This property, which is a renovated Tower, is a totally unique experience. Every level is lovely in its own right but the upper deck is truly spectacular! Overlooking Capri and Mt Vesuvius is what you want to see on a daily basis and this property offers that opportunity. It would rank 5 stars but the elevator isn’t recommended for passengers, only luggage, and it’s a trek to the top level. Nearby LaTorre restaurant is open every evening for dinner - a must try. They offer excellent food and service. Highly recommended that you rent a car to get around as Sorrento is a 15-20 minute car ride. Max and Nunzio did everything possible to assure that our stay was memorable, convenient and pleasant. Overall, excellent A/C, a view you will never forget and a location that is known for outdoor concerts and local entertainment.

La ubicación y vistas desde la torre son excepcionales. La decoración y comodidad de las estancias. La cocina y menaje muy completo. Hay que tener en cuenta que son varios pisos y hay que estar en forma para llegar a la terraza aunque se pude usar un ascensor que debería modernizarse Merece sin duda la pena

Sehr schönes Domizil mit tollem Meerblick

Sehr schöne Unterkunft, sehr gut eingerichtet. Toller Blick auf Capri, Ischia und das Mittelmeer. Kleiner Wehrmutstropfen Treppe zur Dachterrasse zu niedrig, für große Menschen nur mit großer Aufmerksamkeit "unfallfrei" zu bewältigen. Die angegebene Adresse war nicht richtig, erst nach einem Telefonat mit Davide wurden wir zur richtigen Adresse begleitet.

Vacation in paradise

Vacation in paradise July 2016 The tower is an impressive building. Exceptionally, simple nice !! It was a beautiful vacation. We will always remember this time. From the roof terrace you could overlook Capri, Ischia and Vesuv, and the lizards were nice to look at. Our conclusion: Moving in - and never want to come home :-) It is a wonderful place to relax, to live :-) The restaurant La Torre (opposite to) impressed with his kindness and great food !! The breakfast there - just delicious !!!!!! We recommend the tower and the restaurant !!! more Everyone should have been there once :-) We rented scooters and took many trips. We have stayed several times in Sorrento, so we did not need a guide. But also organized tours are designed beautifully. So - on to Massa Lubrense - to paradise !! Enjoy the time in a wonderful building. Enjoy the time in a wonderful place on earth. We did this !! We will be back!!! Promised!!

DIVINE!!!!

What a place!!! The house is originally a watch tower from the 15 c that was built to warn against approaching pirates. therefore, the location is optimal and provides 180 degrees of outstanding sea views from every room and the roof. OH, the roof!!! a FANTASTIC view of the mediteranean sea from horizon to horizon, the Capri island at the palm of your hand, the Naples gulf and the Vesuvius mountain. The sunsets are absolutely DIVINE since it's facing to the west and we spent there many moments that will last a life time... The house was renovated with a lot of charm and skill (...and obviously budget...) to a high standard. We have found it very comfortable, clean and beautiful. It has 5 floors so everybody can have his privacy (no worries, there is an elevator..) the kitchen is well equipped with more than everything you need including beautiful china and glassware on a far higher standard that what you expect from a holiday house kitchen. There is also a small charming entrance garden and always a parking place by the gate, which is a great advantage concidering that in many Amalfi rentals there are alot of stairs between the car and the house. the house is situated on the little piazza of Annunziata village, infront of a picturesque old church. It's a very small and quiet village, away from the noise and action of the famous touristic areas. Some may find it too quiet but for us it fitted our needs like a glove to the hand. There is a small very good Trattoria just in front of the gate if you don't feel like shopping and cooking. there is also a small local grocery store within 5 minutes walk. Naturally, it is ubsolutly essential to have a car if you wish to stay in this house. Guido, the guy in charge, is sympathic, helpfull and proffessional. He met us in Sorrento late in the evening of arrival, led us to the place and showed us around.(It's not easy to find at first) he gladly took care of everything we needed what made our stay even more pleasant. On the down side.... well, frankly, we have found no down sides... :-)

Amazing views! Breathtaking and unique watchtower!

Wow! This place is incredible views from the top floor of Capri and ischia and napoli. The kitchen on the bottom floor and lift to place things on if you want to eat on the terrace. Two bedrooms 2.5 baths. Perfect for a smal family or a couple. The people in charge helped set up two private boat excursions for us and a massage to the place. The local restaurants are all nice and accommodating. Far drive to big grocery stores and the coast in peak season can be crowded but just prepare- it's worth it! Willl stay again and again!

Really cool place w amazing views. Lots of steps though.

We stayed here w our 3 kids ages 16, 9 and 7 in July 2017. Our kids loved it. It's a super cool watch tower w an amazing view of Capri and mount Vesuvius. It's a great location as long as you have a car. It's about 10 min driving from Sorrento and 40 min to Pompeii and Positano. There's air conditioning in every room. It's also clean, has great hot water and comfortable beds. There is a nearby grocery store and a beautiful little park right in front of the tower. It's a great spot to visit especially at sunset. We went to the restaurant across the street, La Torre, twice. It's an excellent family run restaurant. The tower is 6 stories high with one room on every floor. So the floor below the entrance is the kitchen, then at the entrance level is a living room w a couple couches, then a bedroom w a pullout sofa,then another bedroom w a queen bed and it's own full bathroom, then the master bedroom w a queen bed and full bathroom and finally the top floor which is the roof. The roof has a dining table and sofa. The views from up here are amazing. It's a great spot for a happy hour, cocktails or just about any meal. We also did a great time lapse video from the rooftop. However, if you're in the master bedroom and you want something from the kitchen, you have to go down 5 flights of stairs and vice versa. You can see how this gets a bit frustrating after a while. There is an elevator but we didn't use it Bc we were told it can get stuck if you aren't careful. There is also a bit of an ant problem. We made breakfast, cleaned up, and put our trash in the designated kitchen trash can exactly as we were instructed. The next morning hundreds of ants were attacking the trash can and there were ants all over the kitchen. There are ants in the rooms. They don't bite but are just bothersome. I think this could be very easily resolved w a quick visit from an exterminator. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. If you are driving, there is easy access to everything in the area. Thank you Davide, Vincenzo and Stefano for your help w everything!
