Second time we have stayed at this beach house and it didn’t disappoint! We love the location, walks on the beach, lawn games, crabbing, evening beach fires and just relaxing. Our family will definitely be back next summer. Thanks for sharing this special spot with us!
Stunning view back to Baker and cascades with magnificent sunrises worth waking up for!
Very comfortable beds and well stocked kitchen for our food and cooking loving crew! Really enjoyed our time both at the house and puttering around the island and beaches!
The mornings there are worth my kid still waking up in the central time zone! Beautiful view and location. My kids could have played on the beach all day! Will come back!
What a special place! We enjoyed walks on the beach, crabbing, and even saw whales! It was the perfect spot for our family. We will definitely be back.
Outstanding location. Note there is no gas, restaurant or grocery store on island. Despite photos of fire pit on beach, fires are banned. Due to limited water, it was requested soaking tub not be used.
Three generations and our dog enjoyed five nights at Virginia's waterfront property. Lots of beach exploring, walking in the Otto and Curry preserves, biking on the quiet island roads, reading, cooking, and playing games occupied us. Virginia and the owner were very responsive when a couple of needs presented themselves. I would definitely recommend this vrbo for folks looking for a quiet, beautiful spot!
As a family, we do beach trips together every summer. This year did not disappoint. The location of this home is majestic and amazing. The view is incomprehensible. I’ve never been so relaxed. We've stayed at a bunch of different homes over the years and I have to say this was the best yet. This home was so well stocked and appointed I couldn’t believe we didn’t miss a thing. The owners thought of everything with the greatest hospitality. You had your own piece of paradise with this house from the view to the comfy rooms to the beach to the water to the location everything was just so relaxing. Being on Lummi Island was an experience I’ll never forget. It’s so secluded and charming and peaceful I even left feeling so relaxed and not at all concerned about coming home and going back to our normal lives. Thank you so much to Virginia for making the stay so easy and the process so simple, it meant I didn’t have any worries at all before and during our trip. This home is for little kids and older people like us and the rest of the family. The only downside was that all of the bedrooms were upstairs, so if you have any mobility issues, that would be a challenge. And there were no screens on the doors, and with the beautiful weather we were having it was nice to have the doors open while being inside with and unfortunately, you had flies to deal with. But that would never discourage me from coming back. Any family would have the greatest of vacations at this home. Thank you.
Loved this stay. Beautiful house with all the amentities. The view is outstanding. Such a beautiful property. And loved it was dog friendly. Our pups had a blast too. Hope you come back again soon.
This is a really nice property. It is clean. VERY well stocked with everything we needed to prepare and serve meals. So far, the best we have stayed at as far as kitchen needs. There are plenty of linens. The beds are very comfortable.
It is right on the beach and we could walk for quite a distance. The views from the house and deck are great. We saw eagles, blue heron, sea lions and a big buck on the road. It is private and quiet. The few people that came down to our end of the beach were very friendly.
Plenty of seating on the deck. Being summer we ate outside which was very enjoyable. And nice that there is an umbrella covering the table to protect from the bird "fly-overs"!
There is a very small grocery store on the island. It has most of the basics. And yes, it is pricey but that is understandable as they must bring all supplies over and they pay more for their inventory than big stores. And believe me, when you forget the pizza sauce, getting a substitute there was a lot cheaper and less time consuming then the short ferry ride to the mainland.
If there was anything I would like to see added is a small dining table in the large family area next to the kitchen that could seat 4 + people. The dining room is quite formal and with kids it's not an area I would want to use for meals, especially if we were there in the winter and couldn't eat outside, because the floor under the table and chairs is carpeted with a very light-colored carpet, and accidents can happen, even with well-behaved kids and adults.
Virginia, the property manager, is very cordial and responsive. Thanks to her for helping oversee this property and ensure its in good shape.
I hope all who visit respect and take good care of the property so that it remains a great place to stay!
I would definitely stay here again. It was a pleasurable and comfortable four days.
The property and home are in good condition, the views are stunning as is the beach, great for relaxation, and kids too. Nice calm water while we were here, kayaking, paddle boarding, playing in the water along the beach. A mooring buoy is out front too. The hone is very comfortable and the master has a truly fantastic view. The home faces East with amazing sunrises while we were here. We rented already for next year.
This rental property is one of my favorites of all the short term rentals I’ve stayed in…I cannot say enough good things about it! Fantastic location, clean, unique and cozy, well stocked with basics…just a wonderful place to get away. We loved it!!!
The house, it’s location and the agent were all fantastic. The kitchen was well stocked and linens were in quantity. The setting at the end of the beach was wonderful for access to the tide pools. We have already rented for 2022!
The house was perfect for our short stay on Lummi Island. We loved being right on the beach. In addition, the place was at the end of the beach for increased privacy. We had everything we needed to make for an enjoyable experience. We would definitely stay there again!
The home and property are huge. Lots of space for everyone, nice big kitchen that overlooks the water. Bedrooms that have fantastic views. We spent a lot of time on the deck whether it was coffee, dinner, or drinks.
The mooring buoy was just out in front of the property. We had to put in on the other side of the island, but it only took a little while (30mins?) to drive, drop, and get back.
We enjoyed playing pool in the evenings, listening to music, and crabbing.
I could care less about updates needed in the home. It was perfect for our needs (we're only borrowing it). It is solid, quality construction that is comfortable and functional.
A nice BBQ grill was a welcome plus.
Plenty of chairs for everyone and a lot of different deck areas if you were in need of some quiet time alone.
Thank you for sharing your home. It was just what we were looking for.

Great access but the house is dated
We enjoyed our stay, the house is very close to the water but its east facing so no sunsets. The boats in the picture are not for use and the neighbors won't let you launch a boatat the launch right next door, so it's kind of difficult to access the water with kayaks or crab boats. Also the house is a bit dated and the porcelain in the bathrooms is in need of repair. The kitchen is large and well stocked, but the only family style seating is in the formal dining room which is not condusive to children. We ate outside.

Incredible views and outdoor space, great location, outdated but adequate interior
We enjoyed a 3-night stay on Lummi Island for a family wedding. The property boasts premium views on the waterfront side and a peaceful respite on the garden side. Inside is mostly fine, somewhat peculiar (closets are packed full of trinkets, bears, collectibles, personal items). The only available closet in the master has no rod or space for hanging clothes. The master bath was likely top of the line when the home was built but back then builders emphasized oversized garden tubs - shower stalls were an afterthought- prepare to feel cramped in the shower. The kitchen had everything we needed but there was an excess of left behind food items in the pantry and refrigerator. One of us cleaned out some items that had expired many years prior. All in all a great, spacious home to spend a few days - just be prepared to feel like you’ve gone back in time when indoors. But you’ll probably want to spend most of your time on the deck enjoying the sunrise, passing boats and views of Mt. Baker!

Tranquility
We have stayed in many VRBO homes and this has to be one of my favorites. I loved the private quiet beach-front location and the beautiful garden with hidden paths. In the master bedroom during high tide, it looks like you are floating on the water. The layout of the home was perfect for us (with no small children), having 3 bedrooms with King beds in each room. Large modern kitchen with an incredible view of the water. A great place to relax and recharge your batteries.

Great property with incredible views
The quick ferry to Lummi Island was fun and easy. We arrived in the early evening and quickly located the property. The view was fantastic and the house was exactly as presented, with a few bonuses. Everything we needed was provided. The managers were very helpful and easy to work with. We loved the island and did a lot of hiking, biking and kayaking. We went on a whale watching excursion and traveled to San Juan Island. We stayed a week and felt it could have been longer. It is a beautiful area with amazing scenery.

It's all about the location with this house!
This beach front property is hard to beat, also the views of mt baker and the snow capped sisters!
The house is charming, accommodating for any sort of cooking, lots of space. It is obvious that the home had inside smokers for a good length of its time, but there are Windows that allow fresh air in every room. It's became unnoticeable after a few hours. All furniture is clean, the beds were comfortable, paths of cottage landscape into hidden private manicured gardens. Pretty special! I loved it so much that I watered all the hanging plants and areas of the garden. You won't find a nicer beach with a large home like this. Also, some neat history of the location of home. A neighbor shares some old fishing stories of steam boats, canneries... All within walking distance from where we stood. We had a lovely time, thank you!

What makes this property unique
The home is a perfect spot for beach living. If you bring a boat you can crab when in season and there is nothing better that fresh caught crab.
