Your own private Beachfront Home On the Sands of the Gulf. Can't get any closer
Beachfront Home 3 bedroom 2 bath Views overlooking the beach ! Some recent renovations completed. Nothing fancy about this beachfront home......BUT it is located on the most beautiful spot of the tropical barrier islands between Clearwater beach and St Pete Beach. Amazing beach views! Old Timers call this part of the island "The Narrows" where the sand is just wide enough for a single row of homes.
Ideal for a family vacation or for a Romantic getaway for 2. Step down from the back deck and stroll the sugar white sand beach. Fully equipped kitchen, 3 bedrooms 2 full baths, large living area and 2 decks overlooking the beach. Watch the sun melt into the Gulf of Mexico as the day ends. Relax and Enjoy our little slice of beach paradise.

Overall, this house is in a beautiful location on the beach. The view is spectacular. However, the house itself needs some work. The driveway to park in is just sand, which two out of our three cars got stuck in and we had no heads up that the driveway was like that and the only reason the third didn’t get stuck in the sand was because it had four-wheel-drive. The railing at the top of the entryway staircase is very unstable, and even has caution tape around it. The deck on the upper floor also appears to be quite unstable. Again, beautiful home and we did enjoy our stay, The house and driveway itself just needs some work In order to be safe/accessible.

Great Location But House Is Less Than Great
The location is the only outstanding thing about this house, although it is NOT secluded like the photo shows & the driveway is so narrow we almost hit the wall & got stuck multiple times! The floors have been changed to cheap laminate & have water damage in many areas where you stub your toes on the curled up edges. The railing corner to the entry deck has caution tape on it. The main large deck is in pretty tough shape and is very warped and has nails popping up all over. My husband found a hammer and hammered a bunch back down. Two of the deck chairs almost dumped my parents out backwards because they were broken. The upstairs bathroom has a LIGHTLY BLURRED GLASS ENTRY DOOR...so when you are getting in the shower or using the restroom everyone can see. Now, the cleanliness.. we washed all of our sheets on the first day because we all had glitter on our sheets and cockroach legs in one of the beds. We killed 6 HUGE cockroaches and another 3 got away and one was crawling on the kitchen counters. When we pulled the couch out to chase the one cockroach, we found 3 other dead ones. Just a guess, but they could be getting in through the rotted side door that has a 1/4 inch rotted gap in the bottom. We were never informed that the little house behind the house we rented is also owned/managed by the same company so we had people walking by, sitting under our deck, using our chairs. This house needs some money put back into it as it is a diamond in the rough!
Truly right on the beach. Could not be more perfect. The house is in need of updating but clean. The driveway was a bit stressful being very narrow, almost got stuck in sand and could only back out onto busy road. The town center is so cute and very close. We will definitely stay here again.
Beautiful location in a home that has quite frankly seen better days. The ravages of time to wood at a location like this, plus 2 recent hurricanes have created a nice, basic place to stay in a great location. Many maintenance, repair things need to be addressed, but quite frankly they may cost more than the home is actually worth at this point. To be clear, we enjoyed our stay. The accumulation of sand, due to storm surge, at the first ten feet of driveway make access difficult unless one is driving a 4 wheel drive (AWD) vehicle or big truck. We struggled to get in and had to be towed out when we wanted to leave.
Stayed for 3 nights. Its a good house in a great location. Location is very peaceful. Having you own private beach is amazing. Dont have to worry about a crowd. Chairs for the beach are provided, along with some odds and ends. The house had everything needed, however the house did feel outdated and needs some TLC and some parts of the house need more elbow grease when it comes to cleaning, especially the inside of the cabinets. The drveway is slightly tight and really have to watch the wall in the driveway at the neighboring house. It is not straight so it gets tighter as you are getting closer to the road. Overall a good house.
Everything was amazing! All the amenities included, pots and pans coffee maker etc. perfect location! The beach is right there and it’s a quiet part too! It’s close to everything. The beds were super comfortable! The check in process was so easy and the owners were great with communicating with us! The only negative thing was that we couldn’t get the cable to work but we also suck with technology. You’ve got the beach so why do you even need tv? We will be back!
It's close to many great restaurants and you have a dedicated spot on the beach that is nearly all to yourself. We saw dolphins and lots of other wildlife from the deck. The house was about what we expected based on other reviews, it does need some updating but it sounds like that will happen soon. It was clean and the appliances were relatively new. Overall it was a great beach getaway!
Place is great, location is great. Could use some updating but place is as described and would stay and probably will stay agan in the future

A bit disappointing
Location was great. Pictures on website are very old. Wood flooring in dining room had holes in it. Holes in walls, filthy dining room chairs, toilet was broke, cockcroch found. It could be a wonderful place. Needs ALOT of TLC. I paid too much for what all was wrong. Beautiful view and sunsets.

Great location , need some keep up.
The location is beautiful.
It is a older house that needs some updates. The main dissatisfaction was missing any light outside, not safe to take stairs case at night.
The cable is just hanging there.
The toilet in the Master bathroom doesn't refill on his own.
The towels are old and stained .
We could not find a garbage so we had to collect the bags in the house for our stay.
Few of the chairs are brocken inside at the dinner table as well as outside.
I wish just some safety issues could be addressed.
The house has bugs we had to go buy spray for the ants. There's a couch throwed in the back of house towards the beach. This house is not worth what they are Charging.
I need to write a letter about this property as I have never been so disappointed in my accommodations. The entire house is totally run down and dilapidated. From the outside "railing" that is held together with a bungee cord to the kitchen counter that has a hole covered with duct tape, and the furniture that is so worn that the fabric is gone. The entire house is held together with spit and tape. The way I describe the house is a tear down with a view. You should be ashamed to charge the amount of money that you charge for this piece of crap. I have taken pictures of the house that I will be sharing on my social media so that none of my circle ever thinks of renting this house or any other property owned by this group.
Great experience overall! The porch overlooks the ocean and is perfect! I was very happy to see plenty of cooking pans and pots and utensils. This is a must for a nice relaxing vacation right on the beach!
We had a blast staying in this little slice of paradise for a week! From booking, to check in and check out process it was all painless. The property manager was wonderful and answered all questions in a timely manner and was friendly. Our only complaint was that we had to go buy paper towel and toilet paper while we were there. There are a few small cosmetic issues with the house that you can see in other comments, but that did not bother us one bit. We were there for the sand and sun. Not for a flawless house. The location can’t be beat. The sand is the softest powder. We loved being just steps to the water. Would 100% stay here again and recommend this property.
The location of the house is superb! The sunsets are absolutely amazing and having the Gulf as the backyard can't be beat. When there was a problem with the washer, the repair was done quickly. Many essential household goods were provided: sheets, towels, soaps, coffee, etc.
The house however lacks some attention:
- Not until the last day was there an outdoor table large enough for more than 2 people.
-The ceiling fan in the living room wasn't functional.
-The couch was worn and uncomfortable.
-Several light switches didn't work and fixtures didn't have working light bulbs, including at the front door, the kitchen, in the shower, and living room.
-The outdoor shower wasn't working.
-Windows lacked screens or had torn screens.
-Some essential kitchen utensils were absent (strainer, working peeler, scissors).
I would stay here again and wish the owners would show more love for this house.
Location is fabulous. Management great the house however needs updating badly.
Location is what it’s all about. The worn interior of the house is not good. Needs updating badly. We loved our time there once we accepted that the condition of the house is what it is.
With the worn out sofa plus plus being replaced, the house would be fabulous. Here’s hoping that happens

About the host
Hosted by Carter Vacation Rentals
Here is just a quick overview of my career along with a few of Carter Vacation strengths in the rental industry.
I have been involved in the hospitality field most of my life. After graduating from Boston University back in 1986 I got my start working as a night auditor in a small hotel just outside of Boston. I quickly became fascinated with this industry and wanted to know everything about it. I enjoyed finding new ways to improve the overall experience for the guests and in doing so, I was promoted often. I learned all aspects of each department and through the years I became the General Manager of some very well-known hotels.
During my corporate career as a General Manager of a Hyatt Hotel in Tampa I had an opportunity to manage a small beach vacation rental along the shores of the Gulf. Simply put…I was hooked. This became my new passion and career. My wife and I had stayed in vacation rentals in the past with mixed feelings about our stays, I knew there was room for improvement in the Vacation Rental business and I was excited to get started.
My team and I have worked hard and I feel our success at Carter Coastal Vacation Rentals is from having a variety of vacation property options that suites each guests needs and budget. We also have chosen to keep Carter Vacation Rentals business relatively small in order to maintain a personable connection with each of our new arrivals. I, along with my team understand the importance of anticipating the guest’s needs as well as treating each guest with complete respect during their vacation getaway.
We take great pride in serving you. We are here for you. So choose one of our properties and soon you will be enjoying a "little slice of paradise" on the beautiful barrier island.
Hope to "see ya" on the Beach Bruce Carter
