Cute little cottage by Little Portage Lake, Portage Chain of Lakes, Pinckney Mi.
Newly refurbished Lakefront. Flat Panel TV's w/cable in each room. Rollaway Queen Couch in TV Room. Laundry Room, Built-in computer. Hot Tub open year round. Central Air. Dishwasher, Large Fridge, Grill, Patio Furniture with umbrella. Firepit. Dockage for 1 boat, sometimes two. Rental is for house and use of the grounds. Best fishing lake on the lower chain. Known for pan fish but lots of Largemouth, some Smallmouth, Walleye and Northern Pike. Unfortunately there is now a ban on the consumption of fish from the Huron River Chain of lakes due to chemical contamination found upstream. I am told this will be long term but we'll see.

Maximum Parking is 2 cars or a car and a trailer. Sometimes we can rearrange things to get in 2 cars and a trailer but it is a very tight driveway.
I have to reiterate that this is a family friendly atmosphere and total occupancy, including visitors is not to exceed 8 people. Parking very tight.

We decided last minute to get a house vs a hotel. We were unable to book day of so reached out to the host (who was amazing). He also couldn’t get us booked through app for day of but easily accommodated us. The stairs are a little narrow and steep but easily manageable. Traffic can be a little loud at times and the road not always easy to navigate but we’d still stay there again. Waking up to the view off the master made those cold mornings worth it. Would like to hopefully make our next visit in warmer months.
Was a great base for a fishing trip for 2 people. Easy access to lakes and rivers, and great fishing nearby. Enough space not to feel cramped and plenty to do nearby.
We were in town for a football game and the cottage was exactly what was advertised. Kurt was great to work with. The house was very clean and had everything we could
ever need and the view of the lake was beautiful!!!
We had a great stay. We loved watching the boats drive under the road and we loved the hot tub. He has a ton of tvs and it was just a cozy place! Very great find. Thanks for having us.
Great lakefront house - it has all amenities of the house in small cottage feel version. There is everything you need, kitchen, updated shower, awesome sunrises and sunsets. Hot tub was a bonus :).
This is our third year staying here and we love it. Kurt is great and so helpful, we love talking with him. It is the perfect place for our family, we bring our boat, and have an absolutely amazing time. The two bedrooms and half bath upstairs are perfect for the kids, and you can't beat waking up with a view of the lake. We can't wait until next year!
Charming little vintage cottage! We loved the location and the fire pit and hot tub was a great added bonus! Mattresses could use some updating but not totally uncomfortable and it could use a good deep clean. We did enjoy our stay and Kurt was a good host.
The little cottage was perfect for our family of 4! The kids especially enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit for s’mores. The adults enjoyed our morning coffee with a beautiful view of the lake. We also appreciated the washer and dryer. We had a small issue with the blinds one day and Kurt happened to be outside and we asked him about it and he couldn’t have been nicer in helping us fix it. We’d highly recommend staying here!
The house was perfect for our needs. We did not take advantage of the hot tub or lake equipment since our stay was quite short, but it was great that they were available. Kurt was great! He made sure to check in with us to make sure we had a smooth check in. Thank you!
This property gave a nice getaway space during holiday travels. The cabin was fully furnished, which allowed us to stay more comfortably. Beautiful lake view, and the hot tub was great during our chilly visit. Keith was communicative and welcoming.
We absolutely love staying here, it is perfect for our family, so cute, Kurt is so helpful and nice. We were able to use the dock for our boat and it was wonderful to easily get on the water and be back at the cottage quickly. We can't wait until next summer and will definitely plan a longer stay!
We had a great stay. Kurt made sure we had everything we needed. The home was cozy and just as pictured. It was great to have a dock for our boat. I would stay again in a heartbeat.
Our stay was amazing, Kurt made everything so easy and the cottage location and amenities were better than expected. We had everything we needed and more. I couldn’t have asked for a better place for our vacation! WE WILL BE BACK
