Never go here again

Great location, close to beach, 2 great pools. That is where the good news ends. What you won't see or hear about is the mold in every corner of the unit, drapes, bed spread, pillows, shower....etc. The A/C unit spews cold WET air 24hours a day, the floors are always wet, the towels never dry (we used chairs at the pool to try and dry them) the bed linens are always wet (we aired they on our porch to try and get them from soaking to meer damp). The currents have black mold on the tops. The sheers are spotted with mold from floor to ceiling. The room air was at 89% humidity. Every piece of food that we had that wasn't in the refrigerator molded in 2 days. soup cans, had mold on the top, bread turned green in less than 48 hours.

Buyer be ware!

Overall the apartment was only okay. Not near as nice as the photos show it to be...The furniture is old and dated and beat up. The couch cushion is very saggy and it was dirty, the kitchen refrigerator was not operating when we arrived and was also dirty with standing water and trash in the freezer. All of the kitchen handles are rusty as well as the stove and coffee maker warmer. The bedroom was okay, but the cable box was not working and was overheating so the front desk person unplugged it so it wouldn't start a fire. The bed was nice, but the night stands are old and beat up. Several times on different night, you could hear people talking and laughing in the hallways and a man for most of the week would yell at his dog at about 6:30am every morning. So if you want to sleep well, change venues! The ceilings in the dressing area and bathroom are a total mess! Missing light fixtures, half didn't work, and the toilet was broken. The shower had mold and rust on it. Other condo hotels I have stayed in have maid service, this does not. If you wan water, you buy it. If you need toilet paper, you buy it. None of which was disclosed by the owner. There also needs to be a "Run of the house" guide for visitors as we had to get help to even turn on the TV. No instructions were given. We would never been able to get the TV operating if it weren't for the front desk guys, they were super! The rooftop pool was AWESOME! The pool made it for us!

Very nice stay

Located on a lovely tree lined street. Very close to the beach and a short walk to 5th ave. Front desk was very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable. The water was hot. The roof top pool is amazing! Couch cushions are getting flat. Loved looking out and seeing the ocean between the buildings next door. We would have liked more information on how to work the Tv’s and air conditioner and some recommendations for restaurants. Some extra TP would be nice. We used the 11/2 rolls and had to go buy more. Overall very nice.

Nice stay

My husband and I stayed here for a week. Although we encountered some issues - power outages, water out for a couple hours, air conditioning went out- the property manager did good trying to correct the problems. Everyone was very nice. It would have been nice to have a few more instructions in the room about the cleaning service available but we figured it out. Located very close to the beach and also close to 5th. Taxis are easy to grab and usually are $5-15 to get u around. The room we had a balcony for 2 and for some reason I thought I had a larger patio with a table for 4 but not a big deal. Had a great time!

While the rest of the condo has ben renovated, shower faucet needs to be replaced. Otherwise overall a nice unit and helpful staff.

Great Location

We enjoyed our stay in condo 207. Everyone was very helpful and made us feel welcome. Lilian always answered my text and emails and Luis gave us some great suggestions on where to go eat that was off 5th ave. We had some great food and liked the restaurants and cafe he suggested. Luis also went out of his way to make sure we made it to Merida and back. He just asked that we text him. We loved the roof top pool and the view. Vonda

Beautiful

A true hidden gem right in the heart of Playa Close to everything yet, quiet enough if that’s what you’re looking for. This is a family and/or adult location. The pool on the 4th floor is AMAZING! The view by itself is to die for. It also for adults only, as there is a kids pool as well. Liliana, my concierge was truly amazing. Booked our Mayan adventure snorkeling tour and helped me when I had car problems in Cozumel. She was very responsive to calls, texts whatever you needed she was on top of it. I stayed with my kids as we have stayed numerous times at all inclusive resorts before so we tried something different. The price was awesome too.

Happy in Playa!

We just spent two wonderful weeks in our accommodation at Pueblito Escondidos. Our unit was beautiful and the location was perfect for us. We had coffee every morning on our deck while looking at the beautiful view. Lucas was very helpful, as well as the staff. The location was the very best we have ever experienced while holidaying at various locations in Mexico. We felt so lucky to have found this 'gem'.

This Place Is a Gem

This is a peaceful condo that's clean and spacious along with a great location. Everything positive that I read in the reviews was accurate. It is a very well kept and within easy walking distance of dozens of great restaurants. The two pools were very nice and the rooftop is the best part of it all with a wonderful ocean view. The staff were super helpful in helping you find the great local places to eat and make the most of your visit. A shout out to Lilian, Luis and David at the front desk! All in all a great time and place to unwind and enjoy the area. I would go back in heartbeat.

Lovely Condo with great people to help!!

We had a lovely stay at your place. It was a beautiful place. The front desk Luis and all were so great to help with any need and suggestions of great places to eat and see. Not many suggestions except a WiFi booster as getting the signal can be difficult with the stone walls.

Amazing Condo!

It was my first time in Playa del Carmen and I really love my trip. Pueblito Escondido is a must, near from the beach, very comfortable rooms, an infinity pool on the roof top where you can admire a lovely sight and only walking a couple of blocks you can enjoy all the 5th avenue! :D

Nice, elegant, peaceful and close to the beach and main avenue

Me and my family had a very great vacation at Pueblito Escondido, Playa del Carmen. It is very well located , you just cross one street and you are at the beach, need anything? Oxxo store is in the same building with reasonable prices. At night you just walk a little and you are at the main avenue for tourists with many of restaurants, a very nice place to walk, you'll meet people from many countries. Facilities are clean and elegant, we had a wonderful time. ------------------------ Mi familia y yo pasamos unas vacaciones estupendas en Pueblito Escondido, Playa del Carmen. Está muy bien situado, con sólo cruzar una calle ya estás en la playa. ¿Necesitas algo? El Oxxo está en el mismo edificio con precios razonables. Por la noche con sólo caminar un poco ya estás en la avenida principal para los turistas con muchos de restaurantes, es un lugar muy agradable para caminar, conocerás gente de muchos países. Las instalaciones son limpias y elegantes, nos la pasamos de maravilla.

Best kept secret in Playa del Carmen!

Stayed there for a week during our honeymoon, couldn't be happier, the location is perfect, the condo has everything you need, José was very helpful. The condo was lovely and very clean, we cooked breakfast in the kitchen and went outside for lunch and dinner. Recommended 100%

Perfect spot in Playa!

Can't even believe how much we lucked out finding this place for our first Playa del Carmen experience! We are not the type of people to go for the big resorts. Why go to a foreign country only to spent time around other travelers? Everything about our stay was perfect! The condo is clean and modern, with a partial ocean view from the living room and balcony. The location is as good as it gets- right between a fantastic section of beach and La Quinta. Even though it is so close to the action, the street is quiet and very safe, and there is very little traffic. Some great restaurants nearby. Do not miss La Cueva del Chango! Seriously, this place is even better than the pictures suggest. The rooftop infinity pool is to die for! We spent hours and hours up there, sometimes having the whole area to ourselves. We also met some great folks up there. There is a swim-up DIY bar up there, which is perfect. You dont have to rely on overpriced drinks like you would find at swim-up bar at a big resort. From up there, your view of the ocean is amazing! Only one property between Pueblito Escondido and the beach, and it is all thatched roof cabanas, so it feels very tropical and romantic. Jose was very hospitable, and was there on time to check us in and get us acquainted. We loved it so much we are already planning to return next year, though we usually make it a rule never to visit the same place twice. Seriously, this is the good life!

Perfect condo, close to all in Playa del Carmen

We stayed a week, manager Jose is very helpful. Condo is well appointed with furniture, kitchen needs, bath; towels and hair dryer. Also good AC and dehumidifier add to comfort. Second floor Condo has nice view of family pool and ocean. Additional roof top infinity pool is amazing. Easy access to beach, taxis, walk to 5th Avenue for shopping, dining, nightlife. Building has 24 hour concierge and elevator. Interior bedroom quiet when nearby beach resorts have entertainment. Excellent experience for us!

THE PERFECT STAY

I can’t get enough about this place, this is my 3rd time I stay in this Great apartment. It has “The perfect location”, It’s 10 steps from the sand, we love 38th street, the little cafés and restaurants are walking distance. (I recommend “La Cueva del Chango” for breakfast and “La Piola” for dinner). I noticed the owner just refurbished everything, its a BRAND NEW Apartment again, Thanks : ) A paradisiac view from the roof top pool, you can even see the ocean from inside the apartment. Lots of space, very clean, big bed, big bath, big living room, great kitchen, you don’t need to bring anything, everything is right there in the apartment. I will be back as soon as I can!!! J

Wonderful condo in great building!

Everything about renting this condo was terrific. The communication was quick and helpful, the check in was easy at the site when I arrived. The desk in the lobby is so helpful if you need something. This location is so great!!! I looked at so many places but this was the best location and when I arrived I felt so happy with my choice. I will come back.

We had a wonderful stay here - the front desk management was very courteous and helpful. The condo was very clean - all necessities provided. Jose met us at the unit and answered any and all questions with regards to the air conditioning, tv remotes, etc. We loved being able to see the ocean - and also loved the pool upstairs. The photos tell it exactly as it it!! It is a short walk to 5th Avenue with all the shops and restaurants. We will be back! Thank you Fernando!

February at Pueblito Escondido

We were in Playa del Carmen for the whole month of February. Our stay at the condo was really appreciated. It was quiet, clean and comfortable. This is nothing to say about the location - Fantastic!!! However, if you plan on cooking a lot, the kitchen could benefit from a couple more pots and pans. Otherwise, the choice of restaurants is beyond one's needs. Jose and the people at the front desk were very nice and of great help. Thank you so much.

We will be here again!

This is a great condo, awesome location and pools like described in the site! Fernando asked for this review specially to inform if we noticed something bad with the condo….. We did not! We didn’t experienced any of the issues expressed in the previous bad review. We checked-in on the same day and the unit was in perfect shape. We want to add the condo is very private and we had time to relax because other places we visited were really crowded. We will come back for sure! Fernando and the management were superb.

Awesome Location!

The location of this condo is perfect! It is within steps of a great beach and close to great restaurants and 5th Avenue! It is clean, quiet, and the staff are great! Playa Del Carmen has an amazing atmosphere and it was a lot of fun walking down the main street. Trip Advisor was a great tool to use when trying to find a place to eat since there are so many to choose from. The only downside for us was that the roof top pool was under construction so we were not able to enjoy that. This condo has everything you need to have a great vacation!
