Great apartment in a great location

We stayed for 5 nights while visiting my son who lives in Portland. We love to walk around the Division Street neighborhoods. This apartment was great and it is nearby everything we wanted to do.

Comfortable and convenient

This apartment worked great for us. Private, clean, comfortable and convenient for our short Portland visit. We did not interact with the hosts at all but only because we weren’t around very much. We would stay again if the opportunity arises.

Perfect place and we’ll come back

We could not have asked for a better place to stay. The apartment was roomy with a well stocked large kitchen, comfortable living room with TV, great mattress and updated bathroom. Extra kudos for a beautiful backyard and location to restaurants, shops and adorable houses. Our hosts were very accommodating and helpful. When we return next fall, we hope to stay again for an extended time.

Lovely Apartment

We stayed here 3 weeks, 2 for quarantine and another to visit our daughter. It's a cozy warm place, comfortably furnished. The kitchen was well equipped and there are plenty of wonderful restaurant nearby. The host were very helpful, we only had a really minor problem and Charles took care of it immediately. We would definitely stay here again.

Great little place!

I was visiting Portland only briefly this time, and this apartment was perfect for my little solo get-away. It is roomy, yet cozy, and in a great neighborhood. The owner was communicative and friendly. I had a wonderful stay!

Very nice

Great place. Great location with easy access. Very clean with attention to detail which made our stay very nice. Perfect spot if your planning a lot to do in the east side of town. Everything is in close proximity and easy to get to.

Wonderful time

Easy check in, hosts were very accommodating and the place was furnished with everything we could want. Nice basement apartment in a great walkable neighborhood. Plenty of windows and light. We had a wonderful weekend here.

Perfect for my stay

This basement apartment was perfect for my stay in Portland. It has a full kitchen, a separate bedroom, and a nice bathroom with a bathtub. Wonderful location in a walkable neighborhood. Charles was very nice and accommodating. You do hear steps above at times but I never heard it after bedtime and it's easy to not hear it during the day if you have the tv on. It would be nice to have access to a radio without having to stream via my phone. Fortunately you can get NPR on the TV. I would definitely stay there again.

Cute place, good location.

Cozy basement apartment big enough for us to make a Christmas dinner for 4 and enjoy Netflix. We couldn’t figure out how to watch live TV though. We missed watching the current news. However we enjoyed walking in the lovely neighborhood ! Little corner warming stove kept us plenty cozy.

Great stay- great place

From check in to check out our visit was great. For being a lower unit in the owners home, our paths never crossed. Other than some light footsteps upstairs, you would not know they were around. We felt very safe and had great privacy. We always had parking right in front of the rental. The bed is comfy and the kitchen had everything to make a few light meals. The bathroom has a great shower, vanity, and lighting. There is great storage if needed, i.e., empty drawers and closet space. I loved and enjoyed the gas fireplace each morning with coffee. It throws nice heat. And for being in a sub-grade level, it was always warm and dry. My only suggestion would be to put a dimmer switch on the track light in the kitchen and the recessed lights in the seating area. It is truly worth the price.

Clean. Private. Perfection in Portland.

As with all super VRBO properties, I selfishly want to keep this stellar apartment a secret because I don't want it to be booked all the time. This one has it all - high end design finishes; private entrance; soft bed with crisp clean sheets; and the best location in Portland for walking and shopping ad infinitum. Charles the host is responsive ad helpful and provides little things you need when living out of a suitcase - from Ziplocks to water bottles to Neutrogena soap. I visit my college friends who live in SE Portland all the time and this is the perfect home away from home I've been seeking for years! Thank you, Charles.

Exactly as Advertised!

This property was perfect for our purposes during our stay in Portland. The apartment was clean, very well equipped, and was the perfect location for us. The neighborhood was quiet, and parking was just as Charles had said it would be. He gave clear instructions for checking-in and access. The apartment looked just as it did in the pictures on VRBO. The bed was very comfortable, and there some very nice "comfort" features, such as the gas fireplace and the well-equipped sound and video systems. Access to downtown Portland, both the east and west side of the city, the Columbia Gorge, and Interstate highways was all very convenient. Groceries and eating establishments were nearby. Charles provided us with a very comfortable and pleasant place to call "home."

Great 5 Star Experience!

Excellent central Portland location! Convenient amenities nearby, walkable neighborhood, and downtown easily accessible by car and public transit. Well appointed, clean apartment. Charles and Grace are hosting pros - striking just the right amount of helpful availability and privacy. When in Portland, we'll plan stay again.

Great location

We loved our stay and the location. We decided to drop into Portland and had no previous experience there. We chose this location not knowing it's proximity to Downtown. It was close to 3 bus stops and 2 of those bus lines took us right to Downtown without transfering. It was near Division street which also had so much to do. There is Pok Pok and a Blue Star donuts near by (I personally think better than Voodoo). We visited Laurelhurst park, Mt Tabor. We took a bus to the Max line and visited Washington park. The basement was great. Private enterance, it's own kitchen, bath, and washer and dryer. The neighborhood was nice. We did hear footsteps upstairs at times, but it was expected and not a big deal. We will stay here again if we go back to Portland. Google maps and the amazing public transit made it so easy to navigate the city.

Great place, close to everything!

My wife and I stayed here when we were in Portland for a wedding. The location is great, within walking distance of Pok Pok and Salt and Straw just to name a few. The place itself was just right for the two of us. The bed was comfortable and the whole place was very cozy. The neighborhood is also nice, with everyone doing a nice job with their plantings. There is also a back patio that is very inviting to just relax in. However, we had so many things to do and see that we didn't use it much. But it was there! Overall, we loved it and would definitely return again.

Very clean, perfect size, and perfect location to visit the city

We loved our stay here, it was the perfect size for my husband and I. It was more than we expected, it was very nice and clean. Also we were a close walk or drive to restaurants, bars, and stores. We will definitely return and stay here again when we visit Portland. Can’t wait to go back!

Cute space to relax!

My husband and I came here for a little getaway and we felt right at home!... but not our home. 🙃 it was comfortable and quiet. Very nice neighborhood. Close to lots of coffee shops and restaurants. Definitely going to book this place on our next trip to Portland.
