The property felt secluded even though there were neighboring homes nearby. It was quiet and peaceful, lending itself to a very relaxing stay. The home was clean and well maintained and had everything needed for an enjoyable time. The welcome package was detailed and offered lots of information regarding the surrounding area. The beachfront was clean and the lake, beautiful.
Cute lake cabin situated on the lake .
We came for the Fryeburg Fair and only for the weekend . Unfortunately was not able to enjoy the area but will hit Bridgeton downtown on the way home . Everything was great . I would only prefer a noon check out not 10:00am that’s it 😂
We had a delightful and relaxing stay at this charming cottage, which truly captures the essence of lakeside tranquility. I highly recommend this hidden gem for family getaways. The fire pit next to the horseshoe game, set against a sandy backdrop, provides a perfect setting for quality family time.
Although we didn’t use any of the attractions—lake, shopping in the cute town of Bridgton, it would have been fun. We were up for our grandson’s wedding. The one suggestion we would make is for the owners to add a dishwasher. Since the tenants are asked to clean, strip beds, etc (despite a hefty cleaning fee that is charged), it would be helpful if there was a dishwasher. Fortunately we only had a couple of glasses a cups to handwash. The owners were vert pleasant and allowed us to check in early. We would recommend this house to others!
Spent the weekend for a father son getaway. Water access from the house was great. Really quick ride (< 5 mins) to downtown Bridgeton so we could pop down to a restaurant or bar. Maureen and Bill were friendly, welcoming and gracious hosts. Would stay here again, it was everything we were looking for.
The house was nice for the seven of us and the location on the lake was fantastic. It is nestled in the woods but just a mile walk to a grocery store and downtown area.
The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Furnished simply and clean. Hosts were helpful, hospitable, and friendly. Nice to have view of the lake from the house and the dock was perfect for our boat. Thank you!
Everything from the initial booking was perfect! The owners communicated with me right from the start answering lots of questions i had about water access, boat mooring etc. This house was absolutely perfect for our group of 6!! Plus 2 on a night my parents came to visit! There is a short 200ft walk to a private sandy beach only shared with the property owners. The house was clean and well equipped. You dont need to bring anything. It was nice to have a private bathroom away from all the kids. The cove the house is on is super quiet and close enough to a sandbar you can easily kayak to it. We had an incredible stay and have already booked it for next year! Cant wait to get back! Thanks from Travis, Stephanie and all our kids!!!
Everything was as advertised. The house was clean and welcoming when we arrived. Perfect small beach and dock area where my kids loved swimming and catching fish.
Maureen & Bill were helpful with info about the lake and the area. This place is a 5 min drive from downtown Bridgton which made it easy to get groceries, go to Rennys and there are several good restaurants close by as well.
Definitely a prime family vacation spot!
My family and I were all pleasantly surprised by this cute and cozy cabin. We enjoyed the open kitchen and gathering in the living room together. Even with 7 adults, there was ample room for all. Maureen and Bill are such friendly hosts and easy to communicate with. We had a few requests about our stay and questions about the kayaks out back and they always responded graciously and quickly. The house was also a short drive to the Fryeburg Fair. Peace, quiet, and beautiful lake views...one couldn't ask for more!
We really love this vacation rental. It is clean, comfortable and peaceful. The kitchen is well equipped. It is convenient to Bridgton, too. I love having my morning coffee on the dock , watching the wildlife. Pondicherry park is nice for a walk, we hiked Bald Pate and Hawk mountains. Would highly recommend!
The house is very representative of the pictures. The house is not directly on the lake but set back a bit. You have to walk down a path to get to the water. The hosts supplied fishing rods which the kids loved. Access to kayaks and paddle boards as well! Bridgton is a VERY small town. Food options are minimal so come prepared. Chatted with Bill a few times. He was a very good (and funny) host! I would recommend staying at the lake house!
Bill and Maureen are excellent hosts. The property is as advertised and more. The location is great. The hosts are very accommodating and the finishes are what you would expect in your own home. Things that we needed were readily available and even things we forgot to bring were available for use. The location itself is A+++. Would definitely stay again. Thanks Bill and Maureen—the home is awesome and we are hoping to rent again next year!
We had a lovely, relaxing week. Bedrooms are ample, kitchen had everything we needed. Pretty view from the deck and it was just a short walk to the beach w/ kayaks. Home was very peaceful and tucked away, but is a very short drive to town.
We loved our stay here at long lake. It was a beautiful, picturesque location. The house was very well kept and spacious, the bedroom layout worked out perfectly for us. Thanks again for a nice weekend.
We had a wonderful time at this property. It is secluded, yet close to all you need in the Bridgton area. The home was clean, well taken care of and had all the kitchen items you could ever need! The children loved the outdoor space with the toys, basketball hoop and swing. Overall, we had a great experience and would stay again. Thank you for sharing your home!
The cottage was perfect for an autumn weekend getaway in Maine. The house was very comfortable for our family of four and in a great location, close to the shops and restaurants in Bridgton. We appreciated the lit fire when we arrived to make us feel at home! The only minor thing that was missing was dishwasher but it was not a problem for our short stay.
Perfect stay, beautiful property. Owner came over and over introduced herself. Very nice overall! Great for families!
