House with lovely shared pool next to super beach
The house has 3 bedrooms but 2 of them are very cramped. The layout otherwise is good and downstairs is spacious with pretty garden.The kitchen has no kettle so we had to boil water in a saucepan and we had to buy 4 extra mugs. The house was not that clean (eg under sofa and wardrobe) and we had nowhere (apart from fridge) to store goods securely so we had a bit of an ant problem. Also the shower was blocked with hair and overflowed when we first used it; however the plumber came and sorted it out and the running toilet cistern very promptly.
There was only 1 set of keys which was awkward when we went out separately.
Main problem was when we arrived from Girona on the bus there were no taxis available and no one knew where the house was! So we were very fortunate in that we found a car to rent for the week, but that is expensive when you are renting at the last minute and in no position to bargain. You really need one for supermarkets and going out in the evening into town. It takes 30 mins to walk in and it was very hot! We did find and use the Tourist Train which runs from the main marina to the Playa Platera (Kite Beach) every half hour.
The agent, Mr Christian, does not speak English and our Spanish was very rusty. You really need to speak Spanish. Mr Christian gave us no information about supermarkets, bakeries, petrol etc There is no map or guidance, you are on your own!
